1070 hybrid pump fail?

so one day im playin fo4 an the fan on gpu starts to ramp up to max rpm, check temps and their about 90ish. quit all programs and when temps stabilize, idle temps are now 40-45c when the used to be low 30s and mid 40s in games. i think the pump died. any other thoughts?
