I was wondering if there are any teardowns that include removing the fan and shroud from the heatsink. I've been looking but I haven't seen any that included this. I would like to do a Noctua fan mod on mine.

    Follow the instructions in my 1080Ti thread, except the 4 shroud fasteners are slightly different... shown below on a 1080 SC (the SC black to be similar across 1080, 1070Ti, 1070).  No need to remove any of the other shroud screws, they only keep the decorative plates in place.
