Hi guys, I'm having this issue that i don't know what to do with - I bought a new 1060 TI and started playing Dying Light, pretty old game running smoothly. However, every now and then the game freezes, the sound freezes and hard reset is the only option. I've contacted support, they responded really quickly, they said that this was game's issue and i should contact them. I did, it was long time ago so nothing happened, but that's not important. What is important that i started playing other games: GTAV, Rise of the Tomb Rider, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4... Each of this games is running really smoothly, so I'm not using some ultra settings, but every now and then I have the same crash. I just run Project Cars, a car game, not that demanding on GPU - it crashed twice as well :/ It is getting harder and harder for me to believe that all of those games have issues :/ Do you guys have something similar? What can i do with it? Br.,BB

What are your full system specs? Is your cpu overclocked? How old is your psu?

Try doing #4 listed here to see if it helps stop the issue.

Ok, so I tried this twice. The first time after underclocking both CPU and memory, the issue appeared very quickly, basically on the race's loading screen. After the reset, I underclocked for the second time. This time I was able to run couple of races, but unfortunately.... after 20 minutes or so the issue appeared, the game frozen, audio frozen and hard reset needed :/ Br.,BB

Try doing step #2 in the guide if you haven't already, if that doesn't help... try playing your games on the 6700k's iGPU. I would recommend testing the 1060 in another system if you don't get any freezes while running on the 6700k's iGPU.

Sorry for the delay, i was on holiday. I've tried step #2, but unfortunately didn't help. Fortunately, BSOD appeared this time with this error CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT. Honestly, this is not good :/ I spent some money on this card, I wasn't expecting like 500 FPS in 12K resolution, but restarting everytime when i play 3D games with OOTB settings? This shouldn't happen, right? Br.,BB

CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT could mean your cpu isn't receiving enough voltage. Here is what I suggest... #1 Check and make sure all your psu power cables are fully seated and secure. #2 Try increasing vcore on cpu by 0.10.

Hello, I did two steps you've mentioned - cables are ok, and after increasing voltage, issue still remainded. However, i've disable my 1060, switched to IGFX in BIOS, installed newest Intel Graphics driver, run a game... and issue appeared! So this is probably - as you said - a CPU issue. Do you think increasing VCORE on CPU more would help? Br.,BB

Ok, got it: communities.intel.com/thread/109557?q=random%20freezes So basically you have to enable X.M.P profile on the RAM :) Thanks @Sajin for great support! Br.,BB

Or perhaps it should be GTX 1050 2GB and GTX 1050 4GB?
