So I currently have a Lancaster mobo, (IPILP-LC), and I know I used to use the Geforce 9800GT in it. I've since bought a different computer and put the 9800GT in that one. Just recently I bought the aforementioned video card from the title into my computer with the Lancaster mobo...but it's not detecting it? Any ideas on how to remedy this? I had assumed since it worked with the 9800GT it wouldn't have any issues with running this video card. Is it some how incompatible? I was under the assumption that PCIe 2.0 was backward compatible regardless...

Anyways, any help would be most exceptional! Thank you for your time! :)

Try updating the motherboard bios to the latest version to see if it helps resolve the issue.

After review, I'm pretty certain I've confirmed that my bios has it's latest update, which is 5.19.

This is for the IPILP-LC motherboard.

    I have a 400w PSU.
    2.5 gb RAM
All system updates are up to par, drivers are current all around.

Just took my old 9800 GT out of my other computer and put it in here...and it doesn't seem to be detecting this one now either. Could it be that my PCIe 16 is broke? It seems to be providing power...just not detecting it?

Yep, sounds like the slot might have went bad. Try both cards in another computer to confirm.

Try the slots and reinstall drivers, check if the cards also defective. What kind of sub-vender does it come from, if it is reference nvidia than contact them.

i know this thread is very old... but i have that same board, and wanted to let you know that if you go into that motherboards bios, there is an option in, i believe the advanced menu, to select your primary video adapter. you must select pci-e x16, or the board will disable the slot. that may be why it's not being detected. just thought i would let you know. it should look similar to the attached photo.
