  • Improving PCIE compatibility. (ASUS Xonar Audio Card)
  • Improving Keyboard compatibility. (N-Key KB)
  • Fix CPU ratio error after resuming from S3.

Windows Installation
  • Download the correct .zip file below for your motherboard:
         151-HE-E999-KR - EVGA X99 Classified
         150-HE-E997-KR - EVGA X99 FTW
         131-HE-E995-KR - EVGA X99 Micro
         131-HE-E095-KR - EVGA X99 Micro2

  • Close all open programs.
  • Go into the folder where you unzipped this package and update.bat
  • Press Y to start the flash process
  • DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE FLASH PROCESS

BIOS Installation
  • Extract the contents of .zip file to USB flash drive (must be formatted as FAT32)
  • Reboot the machine and go into the system BIOS
  • From the BIOS, navigate to the Save & Exit tab and open "Select BIOS File."
  • Select the .bin file you wish to flash.

    Excellent Bios update.

Without being mentioned anywhere in the release notes,
it has fixed an issue i was having with booting from an Intel 750 PCI-E SSD,
when the drive is set up to boot in EFI mode (UEFI with CSM Disabled).

It would throw a blue screen during the Windows boot-up, unless i manually started the drive from within the Bios menu using the "Boot Override" menu.

An issue i have found with this Bios update is that you cannot load saved USB profiles from older Bios versions (not even profiles from 1.18 will work),
as it will say it is not compatible with this Bios version (1.19).

Don't have an Asus Xonar, but i still have to set PCI-E Gen to 2 (or 1) in the Bios to be able to detect my sound card.
It's an easy setting to change as a workaround, but a lot of people may not know about this.

Prior to this update I could not use my Corsair STRAFE keyboard to enter the BIOs and sometimes the keyboard would not be recognized when booting into Windows. So far this seems to work but I will do some more testing tomorrow.

Will this fix the Corsair K70 RGB keyboard issue? The issue not being able to boot into Bios with this keyboard.

O.O I so must try one of those. Tri-BIOS rulez!

EDIT: Sorry no dice for me. Xonar is still dead just as 71605. Meh... but I'm taking steps to free myself from that second problem permanently while Xonar is just a nuisance at this moment in time. For a moment I thought that new BIOS messed things big time, but only once I had weird issue with bootloader and then it went as it should.

The card should work if you go into the Bios menu and manully change the PCI-E generation to Gen2 or Gen1.

Card should now show up upon the next reboot.

Not sure what the keyboard compatibility means.  Does this fix the issue of the Corsair Kxx series Keyboards getting into BIOS at the highest polling rate?

Card doesn't work no matter what I set up in the BIOS and which slot I pick. Make no mistake card is detected by BIOS/system flawlessly since oldest version of firmware I have (1.13). Just doesn't work (produce sound) - went through all versions of drivers I have - including some betas I've downloaded - confirmed working in any other system. At this moment in time I don't care about Xonar anymore as I prefer to use that one x4 slot for TB controller which I still can't obtain anywhere (and EVGA doesn't supply one!) - supposedly model from Asrock appears to be universal (it doesn't use some silly proprietary plug like card from ASUS) but it's permanently unavailable outside US and Amazon/Newegg doesn't sell outside US this one item. Probably its uber top secret technology that Intel & US gov fear to fall into hands of [cyber]terrorists like my humble person.... Stupid people. One or two stores in Germany and UK have it listed but with note: not available yet/on order/permanently unavailable. Take your pick.

Problem with 71605 persist from the start and there is no progress which makes my blood boiling as complete card with cables and BBU (excluding HDD/SSDs) cost well over what I've spent on X99 build combined - and card work perfectly well on older chipsets. While X58 platform I've got from EVGA was without doubt best purchase I ever made, X99 switch quickly becomes the worst - incompatibility-wise.

I had a feeling that if this fix worked on the Corsair STRAFE it would also work for other NEW Corsair keyboards

Hmmm, I use a Xonar Essence STX, and for all of those who has problems with it, make sure you put the card in Gen 1/2 under the PCI-E settings in BIOS and then do the silly thing of putting your bed to sleep once you have booted up your PC, this is the only fix I've used for ages and 1.19 sadly doesn't fix this issue.
Here I was hoping but oh well.

Thanks for the support from the EVGA team anyhow.

I can also confirm that my Corsair mechanical keyboard is working. I no longer have to flip the dip switch on the top of the keyboard for it to function correctly with safe mode and BIOS options. Thanks EVGA!

asus xonar still not working after bios update, worked before, don't remember which version, but after update to 1.19 card no longer works unless i sleep then start again, i blame the northbridge

already submitted info to  on another post as well, but just so some other people see it here

i have also tried, other slots, onboard works, disabled onboard before inserting and using xonar card, both sets of driver in windows 10, asus's and unified, downgrading bios to previous version, forcing slot to gen1, and gen2, none of these work

After reading the posts above about keyboard problems my problem becomes relevant.   After installing the new bios my rig will not boot with any usbs attache except my mouse and kb.  I reverted to my old bios, but no dice.  The machine will now either hang at a post splash screen or a cursor.   Cleared cmos, unplugged cleared cmos repeated with all bios I have. (known good)  It will not boot anything with non kb/mouse usbs.   REALLY BUMMED.

The only weird thing I experienced was this weird buzzing from the MB when scrolling through post codes after the bios update.  This happened a couple times but does not happen now.  Now to boot anything... no USB.  I will post to own topic, but thought I would throw it here first with the update as it is correlated.

Try and re download the newest BIOS file and reflash.

Also, switch to another BIOS just to get a boot if its possible.  If that doesn't work, I'd say there is a hardware issue.

Try and re download the newest BIOS file and reflash.

Also, switch to another BIOS just to get a boot if its possible.  If that doesn't work, I'd say there is a hardware issue.

Turns out it was my corsair mouse. (m65)  I got a cheap staples mouse and I am GTG!  what a relief!   Thanks for the reply.   All good here on 1.19, but I need a good mouse that works.  I loved that m65.   That was a 24hr freak out.

Hope you could still RMA the mouse to Corsair.

Nonetheless, glad it all worked out.

Happy to report updating the BIOS on the mouse worked.  System back to normal.   Thanks to all.  Happy New Year.
