Almost all of my postings were done in just the first few years of joining the EVGA fourms in 2009.
Back then the supportive atmosphere and sense of community was simply wonderful, and I think back most fondly of those years.
While the fourms still provide helpful advice and great access to knowledgeable users, it is -not- what it once was.
Over the years I have seen so many of the greatest members of these fourms disappear, and it saddens me to have become simply another "missing" lurker around here.
There are still a few awesome users here, but they have learned to "go with the flow".
Unlike the heydays on these fourms when all were welcome and supportive of each other, the fourms have become almost a fan club of (some) moderators and a small group of regulars.
Nobody else is really welcome. There are rules for everyone, and then there are the special rules for those in the "club".
If your not a "member" of that club... well your just out of luck.
That's nobody's fault but EVGA's and comparing the fourms from when I joined to today, nobody can say the changes have been for the better.
I really blame it on EVGA management and it not paying its moderators -and- when EVGA started its TS gaming channel, because after that...
The like minded users on the EVGA gaming channel and the mods using it, started treating everyone else like outsiders. Outright cheating in games and trolling on the fourms by certain members became commonplace.
The loss of what the EVGA Forums once were, is great.
