How low do you think the 10 series cards will drop in price with the 2080 cards just around the corner? I was going to get a 2080ti but not for 1200$ so I was just going to grab a 1070ti or 1080ti for now. Do you all think prices will drop even more once the price 2080 is released? Thanks

Prices are in flux, the 1080 TI FTW3DT was listed at $649 on our hosts site a short time ago and now it's back to $789 the FTW3 was $729 and is now $799. you really have to check daily and decide what your price for admission is.
 

Lots of factors influence pricing such as stock. Difficult to say if prices will go down after 20 September.

I'm skipping the 20 series cards. Way too much for the unknown. I'll look at the 30 series in a couple of years. My 1070ti works like a champ.

I may get a 2080 in a year or so after the price starts coming down. I just don't think it's worth it at the current prices.

Well, all the benchmarks are out now (except for the RTX2070). I wonder when we can expect a price cut for the Pascal cards. There might be a general price cut -initiated by Nvidia- for all AIB partners, or maybe just a price cut for those AIB partners with excess stock.

With 20 series costing even More, there is no downward pressure on the price 10 series cards
 
Previous GPU generations, have had discounts & promotion pricing off & on, from time to time - till they were gone
 
I've learned when you want two cards, buy two cards ---> waiting for a big discount after a next generation launch, has never materialized for my purchases.
