Yes but will it be more than 6 months before anyone can actually get one? If so then what's the point? I am still stuck in a Queue that doesn't seem to be moving with a ton of people in front of me. I am grateful that the Queue is there. I am just frustrated with the whole no stock anywhere situation and no one else seems to have anything in place like this Queue system which probably means it's hit harder because it's the only one out there. I am not trying to vent my frustration at EVGA but at everything else that does not help out the average gamer who is just trying to build a gaming PC with a budget. Instead you got, Miners, People trying to upgrade just to have the latest and best when some of us don't have anything, scalpers taking advantage of the whole situation making it even worse, and retailers or companies not doing a thing to help out the average gamer but lets miners and scalpers run rampant.

Has anyone got real world use in FS2020? Since the 3090's are impossible to find I have to have a machine built by Feb 2021 for my son. I was hoping for a 3090, but may need to rethink that.
This was going to be paired with a 5900 CPU and a Dark Hero MB. His old PC with a 690 is GPU limited and terrible!

SO nvidia spent months telling us all how 10 gigs was enough for most all of the cards - along with all the reviewers saying the same thing.... & now they release the lowest end card w/ 12 gigs !?!?   THis gen release of 30xx series cards has made absolutely NO sense so far.... I can assume the new 3070, 3080 cards with increased memory count will be announced soon too ?? - SUPER- Ti or whatever ...

It's likely cheaper and more market viable to have a 12gb 3060 (vs 6gb) rather than increasing bus width I'm guessing. I'm guessing that for the next foreseeable future, 8-10gb is a soft cap of sorts, given GPUs already out there and consoles (remember XBox has 10+6 shared ram, the 10 being faster). TBH outside of heavily modded VR games and/or Flight Sims (even then), 10gb of very fast VRAM seems like it was the right way to go, seeing actual usage vs allocation w/ latest GPU utilities and in-game tools seems to support this.

I’m just super confused about this new RTX 3060...
I’m in the queue line on EVGA trying to get a RTX 3060 Ti (which has 8 gigs) and now they launch a cheaper entry level RTX and with 12 gigs.
I’m quite new on the PC building stuff and this is the specs of the one I’m building right now:
Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Edge WiFi 6Gb/s ATX
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition
RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z Neo 16Gb (2x8Gb)
SSD: WD Blue SN550 NVMe M.2 2280 1Tb PCI Express 3.0
GPU: (it’s supposed to be RTX 3060 Ti, but now I’m confused 🤷🏻♂️)
PSU: Montech Century 650 Watt 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular
Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital Black
So, should I keep on pushing for a 3060ti or wait for a brand new out of stock 3060? Is this new 12 gigs entry level RTX GPU better than the 3060 ti?

Hm, I do not know whether it is the case, but could it be that these cards with 12GB Ram are very good for miners? if thats true, this could release a little bit of preasure on the cards for gamers. Just an idea..... Otherwise I would also not understand why the lowest card has more RAM than 3080...

nvidia knows vram sells cards. yes vram matters for performance but ppl overestimate how much vram actually matters. a card with 10 gigs and a card with 16 gigs will both perform like crap in 7 years so who cares. nvidia after watching amd knows that they can sell a low end card with allot of vram and it will sell like crazy just off of the fact that it has more vram. i wouldn't be surprised if some ppl getting a 3060ti change there minds just because of the vram. most ppl wont own the card long enough for the vram to become a bottleneck so its a toatal scam on Nvidia's part

I don't mind having a low end card right now since I can't build my PC without a GPU anyway. If there's anyway I can receive an email as to when I can pre-order or queue for it that'd be awesome! Its hard for miners to get card too! Most miners don't have any connections to getting cards. Im trying to finish my 6 GPU rig of 3060ti . i'm in the queue for my personal PC because i have a geeek A30 and the Evga card is one of the only small 3060ti cards you can get.

Can anyone help me understand how the queue works / will likely work for this card, and how to sign up? I'm new to all of this but I've been trying to buy a GPU for my pc for like 6 months, but all I can find is out of stock or scalpers expecting me to pay 2-3x retail for used cards (nope). I upgraded my pc but I'm stuck with a r9 380 😕 Would really appreciate someone giving me the low-down on how to get signed up for my best chances to get one of these cards!
