I have x99 ftw mobo (not the K version), and I was going to get AIO Corsair's H115I for cpu cooling. However it looks like there is only one 2.0 usb header on the mobo, is that right? If so, is there any alternative to adding more? Cuz its no bueno for people who have a case that has front panel 2.0 usb ports like me. Thanks

i7 5930K@4.2, x99 evga ftw, H115i AIO, 16gb (4x4) corsair LPX veng@2666mhz, evga 1000w G psu, evga 970gtx ref, 1TB evo samsung SSD, stryker "storm trooper" case.

NZXT USB Extender should do the trick.

    ^ that

I've got one for my X99 Classified, also a single USB 2.0 header, that runs a Corsair H115i (CPU) and Kraken X41(GPU). It works great! Picked one up from Amazon for just under $20 and it was delivered 2 days later.

Looks like the price jumped a bit - https://www.amazon.com/NZ...on-Black/dp/B0031ESKJA

placed an order via amazon for NZXT headers and H115i AIO. Just FYI, the 1.1 version has been known to fry mobos, so make sure to go with the 2.0 version. thanks for the replies :-).

This guy on Ebay is selling a revision 2.0 for just under $20 with free shipping. Got one on order for my rig, and I'll be sending back the revision 1.1 from Amazon - no way I am going to chance a $20 AIB frying $4,000 of computer hardware.

Can I get a explanation on what is version 1 and 2.  I'm still wondering what some of you are talking about.

The 1.1 revision has two IC chips and is labeled as rev1.1. The 2.0 version has a single IC chip and is labeled as rev2.0.

The 1.1 revision has a history of frying motherboards/RAM/GPUs when its cheap capacitor blows up. The 2.0 revision seems to have addressed that problem.

    Thank you for this.

Now I'm wondering if this was the culprit that blew out my first X99 Classified MB, Corsair Link Node (Smoking and connected via USB to the V1 NZXT extender) and a GTX 480.  All has since been replaced but had issues connecting my headphones to the rear USB 2.0 headers of the MB and my Aquaero 6 XT had issues with its touchscreen, also connected to the NZXT USB extender.

This has me a bit worried as I have had all of these things connected to the extender prior to the blowout and still do after.  Maybe I should take the hit and replaced it with the newer version.  Is NZXT by any chance announce the issues and replacing the old ones with the new ones?

According to one Amazon reviewer, when he called over to NZXT and asked if they were aware of the revision 1.1 blowing up motherboards they plead ignorance.

Well tbh, still think it was the PSU that since has been replaced (AX1200i).  I had the first revision firmware that had OCP disabled so my system had no protection till Corsair Link in Windows ran and enabled it which was mind boggling on their part.  The same thing had happened to a well respected reviewer prior my blowout.  I have it well documented here.  They investigated to the extend there was no way I could have pulled it off with limited resources and they found out that the PSU company had quitely without announcing anything replaced their firmware roughly 3 months after release of the new PSU product to have OCP enabled by default as soon as the PSU is turned on.  This is why I think is the cause of my blowout but I do use and still use a NZXT V1.  I'm using it as we speak.

When I ordered from amazon today I made sure to ask their customer service to ensure they ship me the 2.0 version. Supposedly, the only one that amazon does now sell is  2.0 and no longer the 1.1 version. Just watch them ship me the 1.1 version

And they actually shipped me the 1.1v........... If you use Amazon be careful, at least I got a 5$ gift card out of this ordeal.

Perhaps I should not use the power module with either version. Anyone have experience with/ using this little contraption? Ill be using it for two front panel usb ports and water cooling. Thanks
