just bought TOPSYNC LUXURY 2700QWB 
and card EVGA nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0 4GB 04G-2983-KR
 
I got confused (unfortunately after the purchase).
it says the monitor needs DVI-D (if i'm not mistaken) and I'm not sure if it can work with my video card.
please help!

    Edit, it says the card has dvi-i on the product page.

    The monitor says not to use dvi-i, which is really strange. That monitor looks to be a very budget friendly monitor.

    Thanks a lot for your help. I just got confused because in the description of my video card says 
    "DVI-I, DisplayPort, DisplayPort, DisplayPort, HDMI "
    so there's DVI-I port, not a DVI-D.

    What would you be using that monitor for? Editing or gaming?

    Yes, a DVI-D monitor should work fine with a DVI-I port. The only difference between the two is the DVI-I has an extra set of pins so you can use a DVI-I to VGA adaptor.

    editing and graphic works 95%
    just have two kids )) so can't afford to spend too much money. already spent a lot (for me) on the computer i4790k, 32gb ram, 250ssd, EVGA nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0 4GB 04G-2983-KR and even I needed it really bad because my old Mac Pro plays in DaVinci 1-3 frames per second on 2.5k camera not even talking about 4k. it plays 0 frames ) per second but still trying to fit in the ultra tight budget

    A topsync monitor is a pass through monitor and should work with a 980SC. Before I bought my present Crossover 4K monitor I had a similar pass through monitor. You won't have any troubles. The Asian sellers don't update the list of compatible graphics cards often enough
