I find Watch Dogs is making my 780ti choke due to low Vram, I might send it back for full refund, I still have two weeks to return it. So does anyone know if 6gb models are coming out and when? thx.

No it isn't. Funny I have the same game, run a 144hz 1080p monitor and run the base reference 780 ti's in SLI with 0 issues. USER ERROR, poor install, corrupted OS etc would be my guess. 99.99% out of 100 times it always is.

There have been cases where retailers will begin selling copies early or Amazon will have games delivered before the release date. I remember back when GTA IV was released the local gamestop here had them all in the back around a week in advance to the release.

GPU-z shows vram allocation. If you slapped a single or pair of GTX 770's in there with 2gb of vram it would show under 2gb of vram allocation. First off, dl Geforce Experience, then refresh to see its recommendation for that game at optimal settings for buttery smooth gameplay and compare vs. your settings, I can guarantee you have settings up too high for a SINGLE card. Your most likely bottlenecking the gpu with your issues having the settings up too high, especially the AA. A single 780 ti is not capable of running all games maxed out at 1080p with extreme AA. Even my SLI 780 ti's optimal settings are a touch lower on a couple games for optimal play.

Some people have early release/beta copies. Technically it is already released if you know where to go. I got my copy from gamestop yesterday since they've had the disc shipment in since Friday and pc disc sales there are poor with Steam and Origin online services now being vastly popular vs buying the disc. My next door neighbor happens to manage the local store to me so Im given first dibs all the time.

I'm waiting for that card too, but remember, it's not set in stone that a 6gb version of the Ti will even be released. I'm going to wait a little longer to see if the card comes out or not. If not, I'll get something else. I pre-ordered Watch Dogs, and getting it tomorrow. I have a 580 currently, but the game recommends a 600 series or above. Also 2gb cards won't cut it. I'll probably wait for my next card before I play the game.

I'm waiting for a 780 Ti 6GB too. I made a thread about it, apparently it was just a rumor and there are no plans to release one. I've considered a Titan Black but from what I've heard, those things run hot enough to throttle down so I'm a bit weary. Not sure how comfortable I am exchanging coolers on a $1200 card either.
I guess for now we just turn AA down.

Releasing a 6gb version in reality makes 0 sense on a regular 780 with a lower vram clock frequency........so I can't imagine Nvidia and its partners not releasing a 6bg version on the full blown non gimped gk110 chip..........they will eventually if sales start to slow down on the ti like it obviously has for the base 780........... ...........also I don't see how 2gb isn't going to cut it. Im sure folks with GTX 680's/770's with 2gb cards running in SLI won't have any issues at all.

FWIW a local GB manger was fired for just such actions against company policy .Say what you want ,but i wouldn't risk a friends job just so i could enjoy a game early .My sense of whats right and wrong just wont let me.
Kmart has been fined 200,000 for breaking release date sales
Tesco was fined also in the UK for such actions
A current rumor is that Ubisoft wants to formally ban the sale of Watch Dogs before the big day, and threatens the stores that don't respect the official release date with a €500,000 fine.

I highly doubt it was just for that reason alone..........its actually pretty HARD to get fired from that company if your competent. Tell that to him,his wife left him with the kids and got 50% of everything ....EA (and others )has a way of pressuring companies with future allotments on release day or 1-2 days later... Another rumor on WD by UBI is any account found playing before release date (or installed before)will be banned . Rumors are rumors ..until someone gets fined or fired .

Rumors are rumors and looking at all the footage it wont push a GTX 780 TI hard... at 1920x1080. If you have to game on multiple displays or one huge one with some insane resolution then yeah you will need to consider a Titan Black. If you got an early copy remember I am sure Nvidia has not released the latest drivers yet, and will hold those drivers a day before or the day of launch of the game. Those spreading speculation the only wayyyyy a GTX 780 TI 6gb is released is if Maxwell is going to be late and I mean really late... Even then... with the GTX 780 6gb it looks very unlikely unless NVidia sees they can turn on a huge and I mean huge profit to cover the production and come out on top.

Allocated VRAM and what is actually required are 2 different beasts all together....didnt we go thru this with BF4 already??
The game will run just fine with 3GB VRAM on single monitor up to 1600p....just like BF4.....

A Titan Black will not run any game any better at ANY resolution(including 4k/2160p)than a 780ti...............the extra 3gb of vram in games does not offer any more performance. Already proven at all resolutions by multiple benchmark tests. The GK110 will and is the bottleneck well before a full 6 gigs of RAM can be utilized in reality.

Yep just like BF4 and all the other games on the market run fine on a GTX 770 with 2gb of vram..........the performance bottleneck on the 770 is the gpu even with a gig less ram.
