my system is over heating because i have air in a sealed water cooler that cant be fixed so will be switching coolers and getting new ram.  I was wondering if the items below would be a good combo for me.  i contacted my case makers and was told the noctua dh-14 would fit so hoping silver arrow will too think same hight.  its a maingear shift case with a mod of a led lit panel on the side.  TY in advance

If you want a great air cooler I would get Prolimatech Megahalems Rev.B CPU Cooler

And get two of these fans Scythe DFS123812-3000 "ULTRA KAZE" 120 x 38 mm Case Fans  or Scythe SY1225SL12H 120mm "Slipstream" Case Fan

The RAM looks good to me!

For coolers, I love the H70 and I also bought the Megahalems Rev.B which I'll probably be mounting soon since my H70 doesn't work with the Danger Den Torture rack. They have comparable cooling capacity which is remarkable for an air cooled solution. It's hands down the best air cooler out there.

I'm actually not a Corsair memory fan. PSUs I like generally but RAM, no. I've had too many sticks of Corsair Dominator's not meet their rated specs.

I run G.Skills and all I've ever bought have outperformed their specs so I'm sticking with them for now and recommending them.

The Megahalems are excellent, and now Prolimatech has out what they call Super Megas for just a few dollars more. They are both good, the super megas being slightly better. The fans to get with them are not as critical as the coolers are designed for low flow fans. Sure they will cool better with high flow, but with low flow, when compared to other coolers with low flow, the prolimatechs do best.

The Corsair you picked out is great, the Gskill is slightly better, but they cost substantially more.

i use tridents 2000mhz... they're about $100 for 2x2GB. but they may be on sale occasionally. anything above 1600 is overkill if the CAS level is still around 9, which it is.

so it's to you but the 1600 mhz is the popular performance/price point. i'm actually getting ready to test out some 2x4GB g.skill sniper sticks at 1600... to replace my 2 trident sets with. i'm giving up much, i'll just return them but i think they'll work just fine... lower voltage too @ 1.5... the tridents are 1.65v but my normal use OC only runs them at 1800mhz and they work fine at 1.5 or 1.55v. they'll also pull down 7-9-7-24-1T at that frequency too.

What kind of sealed w/cooler is that ? If it's a corsair, the lines can be cut & repaced. Just add a small reservoir. Had to replace my lines & have a little air still trapped in it. On o/c site they have links on how to do it.

    Yes.

And for compatability and ease of setup I wouldnt use any memory over ddr1600

Get some low latency DDr 1600 like the mushkin redlines.
Tighter timing will offset the lower speed rating and enable you to run lower Vtt voltage on the cpu ,which will help with Cpu overclocks and temperatures, and also reduce the load on the cpu memory controller....

From what I see, this is better than the H70:

As for air cooling, nothing beats the Prolimatech products (e.g. Megahealms, Megashadow, etc...)
