Increasing VCore made it even less stable so bumped VCore back down a notch, since my RAM is at 7-8-7-20 I bumped VTT to +250mV (1.45V)... retesting.......

Sigh... gonna be a long night >.<

Looks like I"ll have to redo my OC all over again... what a PITA lol

Sorry to hear that... Why not go back to the xms?

XMS3 couldn't hold even a LinX test at factory timings (8-8-8-24), now I'm trying to test the Dominators at factory settings (7-8-7-20) to see if it can hold it. So far it's been lasting longer on test runs than the XMS3 on its factory timings. I just need to make a few more adjustments. Keep getting LinX errors at around 11-14 runs

Hmm.. problem here too. No hard lock or BSOD, but LinX stops itself after about 9 runs. Kind of hard to know what the exact issue is...

Stops because of errors?  try bumping your vcore up 1 notch.

Yep, bumped VCore up a notch again with lowered VTT and QPI... finally ran 20 passes stable! And now the hard part... getting Prime95 to be stable 24 hours on blend... Looks like the entire time my VTT + QPI PLL were too high.

Downside is my GFlops took a nose dive

Bumped it a big notch lol.. 1.31 load so I bumped it up to 1.329.. thought I might be overdoing it, but just completed 20+ runs without a problem, although ran a little hotter with the higher voltage. Will post it up shortly. Prime 95 wasn't a problem, it was LinX that seemed to push it harder. I guess because LinX does more ram than P95.. depending which test you run.

Temps are a bit higher than normal btw.. today was a bit warmer than it has been, but the building super has the heating cranked right up for some reason, and we can't control it.. sitting here in t-shirt and shorts just about breaking a sweat :P

Wow Neureus... you're on air and you got way better temps than me and I'm using the Kuhler 620

BTW I reran LinX and put it on 50 passes this time to guarantee stability but crashed before 20 passes... on the same exact settings I used when I passed 20 just a few hours ago... sigh (BSOD D1) My QPI, VTT, and RAM just don't seem to get along.

Last resort, bump the DIMM Voltage up a bit... *prays*

@ rurik, you probably have Speed Step on right? Shows your CPU is at 2.4GHz idle

... Ahh you Americans... Yeah it looks like russian and they use cyrillic characters. i.e Greek while English uses the latin alphabet.
I do my tests with speedstep on as well by the way but I have IBT run in the background when I take the screenshot to make sure my CPU is running at its max clock.

rurik, your screenshot needs to include the following and it must show the correct clock speed.

2. CPU-Z front tab showing your overclock, voltage, and threads.

Glad you got yours purring. The chip I am currently running was the used one Tilatech had for sale. It was posted in the hot deal section I believe. Took them a month to ship it to me though.

How much memory do you have? Your sig does not say. LinX at 25000 should use about 4.8Ghz of RAM apparently. If you have 6Ghz of RAM, it may be just short if you have other processes running. Shut down browsers, sidebar gadgets, antivirus etc (basically anything other than what is required for this benchmark) - that should free up a little more RAM and you should be ok (assuming you have 6GB of RAM installed).

HT is hyper threading.. it's set in the BIOS under
frequency/voltage control > CPU feature > Intel HT Technology

Rurik, your CPU-Z window (or EVGA E-Leet - same thing basically) is showing the information in the voltage tab. It should be showing the CPU tab. Check out some other member's screen shots and you'll see what I mean.

Not sure what you are asking on the multiplier. Maybe you should read the OC guide thread.
Enable Hyperthreading in the BIOS for this test.

Look at your picture, It is showing your CPU speed at only 2400MHz. This is because your CPU was idle when you took the picture. You need to either run another CPU loading program in the background like LinX or Prime95 at the time you do the print screen or disable Speedstep in your BIOS.
You must also show the CPU Tab of E-leet or use CPU-Z as Kram suggested. You are showing the voltage tab of E-leet...
