In the winter, my apt has really dry air. This produces static electricity. Almost every time I touch my case my monitor will go off. Rig will remain on though. Sometimes I will get a slight "zap". Is my rig not grounded correctly?. I have the rig sitting on top of a Formica table and also, I just bought this case. However, this issue also happened when I had the other case.

I will run a humidifier but that sometimes don't help. Any help, recommendations and/or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

It is zapping you because it is grounded, your not though. Maybe ger a rubber (bath?) mat to stand on before you turn it on.

Would setting the case on a rubber mat work?
