I contacted eVGA and they confirmed that I have an issue worthy of RMA replacement. Great!

I get the ticket number to put in my RMA and was unnerved by the part that states "our RMA stock has been thoroughly tested"... wait. What? You mean to tell me that my less-than-24 hours old GTX570 will be replaced by someone else's return? This does not sit well with me.

So, my issue is, I believe, somewhat minor and only affects me if I decide to get 4 monitors (running 2 GTX 570 in SLi, other card's outputs are fine). The issue is that port 1 DVI output on card #2 has no blue output. So all the colors are off. Port 2 DVI is fine and colors and performance are spot-on. I only thought to RMA because I expected it to be replaced with a new card, not some used-up card someone else returned or a production line reject.

So, to RMA or not to RMA. That is the question.

I'm pretty sure if the card is under 30 days old they send you a new card, not a refurb.

If it is less than 30 days since you purchased the card you will get a New Card, not a refurb.

If the card was purchased within 30 days, then you will get a new RMA replacement.

Let me help out here:>  "If an RMA is necessary within 30 days of the original purchase date, a new in box replacement will be sent in return."           :P

That is true, but IIRC, that is only if purchased from EVGA, otherwise you should be able to get a replacement from the original point of purchase.

OP, Where did you buy your card from?

It doesn't matter whether the card was purchased from EVGA or else it would be laid out in the terms and conditions of the warranty.

    Cool, thanks!

But if I had just bouhgt a card from a local store and it crapped out on me in the first few days, I would still go get a replacement from them, just quicker.  And IMO they should should have to deal with the faulty card they sold under those circumstances, not me.

For sake of information, both 570s were acquired via Step Up.

I would RMA it so you get what you paid for.  You will receive a brand new one back since you just bought it (under 30days old).
