have you tried to increase the Vcore a bit to see if it helps inside Games>?

How long of gaming before you Freeze or BSOD?

Pictures in the game just stops but no BSOD and I have to reset the computer.

This happens after 15min, but only in the game BBC2. In other games, everything is ok ( Dead Space2,...).  Any idea what could be wrong?

Normally a system freeze when overclocked is caused by something memory related, voltage or timings. I would retest your stability with at least 20-50 runs of LinX or IntelBurnTest with the updated Linpack files from Intel. CPU Vcore seems a bit excessive, CPU PLL vCore seems a bit low as does IOH VCore and ICH VCore. You should really post a system templete so we can get a better picture.

Better off filling this out. This way everyone can see all the settings not just voltage.

Start slowly to narrow your problem to single units.

do the following and you will find out what your problem is 1000%!

Download Prime 95 and run it to make sure your CPU is working and not the reason why your computer is freezing. Watch all the workers and make sure that none of them stop working due to a problem. If you can run Prime for like 20 minutes then you are fine on your CPU because 100% CPU utilization would weed out the CPU in a matter of minutes honestly. You are saying it happens in 15 minutes of gameplay so it will be very obvious because games dont utilize 100% of the 980X .. No chance .

If you do run into a worker Error on Prime 95 that means your CPU / voltages are at fault. You might want to raise your Vcore just a smudge because all Chips are different and need different voltages to obtain the same OVerclock so no one can say what is enough for another persons CPU so you will have to test it yourself and see. GO up by small increments nothing to drastic!

try the following and let me know what happens.

    EVGA VDroop Control (Without Vdroop)
    CPU VCore (1.43)
    CPU VTT Voltage (+175)
    CPU PLL VCore (1.425)
    **IOH PLL VCore (1.425)
    DIMM Voltage (1.65)
    DIMM DQ Vref (+0mV)
    QPI PLL VCore (1.275)
    IOH VCore (auto)
    IOH/ICH I/O Voltage (auto)
    **BR04 ( NF200) Voltage ( ) (only on E-759)
    **VTT PWM Frequency (max KHz)
    **CPU PWM Frequency (max KHz)
    **CPU Impedance (auto)
    **QPI Signal Compensation (auto)
    ICH VCore (1.100)

My 980x does 4.6 ghz @ 1.42 volts with the voltage setting you see there which are almost similar to yours except for the QPI PLL VCORE

Use a Multiplier of 31 and runa BLCK of 146

try my voltages but 31 mult and 146 blck and let me know what happens. If it doesnt work Raise the VTT to 200.  If you do get  a stable boot and your game runs fine without crashing slowly Lower you CPU Vcore a few units at a time to find the lowest amount that it needs to work for you without blue screening or crashing and set it there !

    keep us posted!

try a complete Cmos reset before you change all the settings. Try taking the BLCK a bit lower to like 140 to start with and then increase it slowly increase

Make sure your QPI frequency  is 4.8 GT/s

Could be anything, at these clocks using another persons settings will be futile. Each and every CPU are different as are system boards, Power Supplies, Video Cards. While all of these are built around standards, once you start overclocking those standards become stretched and strained sometimes beyond the limits of the devices. The error you are seeing possibly can be tied to your QPI PLL VCore. but without seeing your other settings that is only a guess.

Well not really . I dont think you are correct in saying using someone elses Settings is futile as it would be wrong to say. It is  a simple Multiplier increase with a minor BLCK increase. Everyone who had a 980x has pretty much done the same for a simple overclock. The voltages while important are not that much different either. If he doesnt get a stable boot he ups the vcore a bit and sees if that works. These CPUS are 90% identical to each other with the last 10% based on what they can do and how much Vcore they need to do it. If he has a 980x and a classified he should pretty much be set. I highly doubt his motherboad has anything to do with it. It is obvious that it is a CPU Vcore problem because i ran into this issue myself while playing League of legends. My computer would freeze once in a while until i Upped my Vcore a bit which in turn made it stable. The only other possibilty could be Video card/ Ram.

Run OC SCanner for like an hour just to make sure your Video card is ok. Run Memtest on your Memory @ your overclocked settings to see if your Memory is alright.

But overall just try your 1.435 V or something to get your computer to boot. Some Cpus can do 4.5 ghz with 1.4 v and some need 1.45. That is the 10% difference in the CPUS.

Well I have a 980X with TRI SLI with 24 gig of mem and do 4.2 with 1.3 and 4.5 at 1.375 on air, while I dont have a classified board I make do with what I have. There is more to these chips then just VCore and in order to learn how to properly set up an overclock you must tweak most of the voltages. I still stand by my statement that using another systems setting at these clocks is futile and when there are problems the person doing the overclock using someone else's settings doesnt have a clue to what might be causing the problem.

Thats why i told you  =). Make sure your QPI is set to 4.8 and not 6.4 . I knew that was your problem and thats why i said it above =0

Use the voltages and template i gave you and make sure you QPI is 4.8 not 6.4 and you will be fine i bet you :P

I got my 980X stable at 4514. On my LinX run I see that the GFlops are a good bit lower than yours. Does that have to do with ram speed?

My max was 63.4801. Temps where around 70C on the hottest core. It topped out at 82C. I know that is a bit high. i just wanted to get 4.5 stable just to say that I did.
