I got this idea from the vantage thread(s), but altered it for CPU purposes this time round. Post your maximum validation clockspeeds here.

*** Intel's newest CPU line, is Sandy Bridge, known for extremely high overclocks. ***

I will handle recording all Sandy Bridge CPU-z validations in this thread.

                   - The Official Sandy Bridge CPUZ frequency score thread -

This does not have to be a record-setting-suicide run... It's just for comparison purposes, and to keep a little friendly competition going while we wait on new hardware to arrive.

Please provide a CPU-Z validated link with post, to allow for score verification.
NOTE: Please only post your max overclock, or the max you have currently hit.

Help me out, and populate this line with your data, and post along with each entry:

Could be, but I manually set my VCore to 1.42 in the BIOS and it booted up...not sure if it was Linx 20 passes stable because I don't have that kind of time, but it folded nicely at the 5

Everyone, please remember when posting your OC to use the correct format, just copy/paste the example in the OP, and input your info after removing the original info. i.e. so your hardware/clocks are correct.

Thanks Becco! Added you. Btw, it doesn't have to be a stable clock, just stable enough to get the validation.

It's depend on the programs we run. I have my i7 2600K @5000MHz max temp in Intel Burn Test at 82C3DMark 11 at 65C, and real game like Crysis at 56C on air cooled by Cooler Master V6GT. Yeah I just upgraded my cooler from NH-U12P to V6GT.

Thanks Halo_003. For me, cable management is just as important as hitting the 5.1GHz OC so It's great to get that feedback on the rig - thanks again :)

I am going for 5.2GHz later today or later this week, will post it if i make it :)
