Hello,
I just recently purchased an EVGA GTX 460 768mb "superclocked" FTW edition to replace my two 8800 GTS 640mb cards that went bad this year.

With Borderlands I have no problems with either card.  But with Sacred 2 which ran fine with even just one 8800 GTS last year and even on a 8600 GT, I am now experiencing lag and stuttering while moving and fighting in the game.  Mostly while moving.  Graphics settings in the game do not seem to affect the problem.

I am using the same machine, same build as last year and the only thing that has changed is the card.

680i motherboard
710 watt power supply (has enough connectors for atleast 2 460s & 2 are plugged into the card)
Core 2 Duo @ 3.33 GHz, FSB 1333 MHz
8 GB OCZ RAM @ 800 MHz DDR2
2 HDDs (1 w/XP Home Edition 32-bit, and 1 w/Vista Ultimate 64-bit)
Zalman CPU copper heatsink and fan (the big one that blows out the back of the case)
Geforce GTX 460 768mb DDR5 "superclocked" FTW edition
52" Sony Bravia HDTV (using DVI to VGA connection)
For some reason the HDMI cable that comes with the video makes games look horrible.

Currently using 260.99 drivers.

    Same drivers with both cards?

Do you have VSynch enabled? I had a similar problem with BFBC2. No problem with a previous GTX295, but when I upgraded to a 480, got very bad stuttering while moving in some areas, and the high speed vehicle chases. With VSynch on with the 295, no stuttering. With VSynch on with the 480, bad stuttering. If I disable the in game VSynch with the 480, no problems with stuttering. It's weird because the 480 always runs well over 100 FPS in either case, and the 295 ran a lot closer to 60. I do not have this problem in any other game, including Crysis, so go figure.

@DHLEVGA - The drivers were different.  When I installed the new card I did a clean install and used the 260.99 drivers which as of today are still the latest.
There are only 3 drivers for the 460 at this time, 258.96 (which came on disk), 260.89, and 260.99.  I have the same issue withe 258.96 as I do with the 260.99 so I didn't bother with the 260.89.
When I played Sacred 2 on my 8800 and 8600 cards (different systems), I was using drivers from last year.  I only got back into the game recently.
I've also downloaded and installed last release of the chipset drivers from nvidia's website, which were marked from 2009.

VSync - I have tried it on and off.  Same issue.  UI scaling is still checked but I doubt that would matter.

I first brought this matter up on the Sacred 2 forums and it was suggested to be that the drivers for the card wasn't polished enough.  I am starting to believe that but it is the only game I am having issue with in this regard.  The HDMI cable makes Empire Total War look horrible, but maybe the game wasn't designed to be used with that.

@steelcowboy - I know the 680i is holding my back from unlocking my system's full potential, but that would mean building another machine as I doubt swapping to another chipset will allow me to use my current components I am already using.  Money is tight.  I wanted another 460, but cant afford it till much later.  Sacred 2 is the only game I am having issues with at this time.

I got a reply on the nvidia forums regarding this...

Sorry. The Sacred 2 bug has not been fixed yet.

    Apparently this is driver related.
