So probably the week after Thanksgiving. If there isn't another update as of yet, then the last update should still be what stands. Why would you need all those details? They gave us an expected date of release and that should suffice.

I've overclocked the pants off my 480s on a 758 and I had no problems. Hell, while I'm waiting on my Classy-3 for step-up I'm overclocking the pants off of two 480s on a Crosshair II mobo with a Phenom II x4 965 with no issues. Is it possible that it is not all 480s, just specific ones pulling too much power?

you need the fix for the e758 exspecial because of its traces. you will only see results from the fix when overclocking one extreme config like ln.

I wonder how we'll be notified that we have the "configuration" meeting the requirements for the molex fix? Also wondering if they will be offered to purchase if folks have a board not falling under the "configuration" for more then just one? At this time I simply unplugged my 2nd 480 till I get this fix. Not risking my system frying and losing both work and game data.

In a simmilar boat, i only ordered two 580's, i just hold off ordering the other two, untill this is compleated, Not only does this help me feel safer, but it might give time for prices to drop, additional bundeled gifts to appear, or some new MIR's to be assigned, either way, it's win/win, ( well for me anyway )

I was told it was with specific configurations. I was running a e760, a Antec TPQ 1200, 2 GTX 480s in SLI and a GT 240 for physX all at stock speeds. 2 PSU and boards melted. The second one that melted I had the GT240 out of the system so it wasnt that. The only constant were the GTX480s. I have to give EVGA props, they were going to replace the board again along with both graphics cards with new unopened items. About 10 mins after the deal was made I was called back and offered the Classy 3, I just had to wait a week until it was released and thats what I did. My only complaint is my system was down from May to the first week of Oct and my GTX480s sat unused. Now they are outdated and I didnt even get to enjoy them being top dogs for more than a month If your not having issues by now then I would say your safe. Just check you 24-pin plug to make sure

Small update on this. We will have a limited number of units late this month/early next. Because of the limited quantity, we will send out units directly to some of the concerned members in the community. The rest of the units will be ready later next month.

To translate (the best I can) from Jacob's political correctness, I believe he is saying: "Those that are complaining will get one first." There are several people that I have seen through these molex posts who claim that they have no problems and don't have a current interest in one. They will eventually get one, but after those that are complaining get one. This is one of the primary reasons why I did a Step-Up to a Classy-3 770. It has the molex pin on there.

He means the concerned ones are the ones who are needing it ASAP. Other people who don't have a need for it right away and may need it later are the other group.

Well not only that, but those who are at highest risk for seeing this issue. (Keep in mind it is rare) Meaning SLI systems, dual or triple GTX 480 or 580, etc.

Would that be judged based on what they have registered through EVGA (Ex: I (used to) have a 758 and two 480s registered, therefore you know for sure that I am at risk)?

It was just an example, I am asking if those that have their components registered through EVGA would be those judged to be the ones who have the most need since they can be definitively proved.

How do we get on that list Jacob? I've requested the molex adapter weeks ago in the past dozen threads regarding this issue. How do I know that I'm in line? I've got multiple 580s registered and running sli on a e759 board.
