Well tried turning on my computer today and it wont start . Got a EVGA 680i SLI. When i turn it on it starts up reads what CPU is in it , Reads what hard drives are connected then detects my Raid Set up and then it shows booting from CD and then it would usually start windows but it just hangs at booting from CD . There is nothing in the cd drives .The led on the board reads through all the numbers when booting and when it hangs it reads FF. A few months ago i had a problem where my power supply went but changed that and it was all good til now . I have yet to try re setting the bios but i will and then start unplugging things . I did remove the power from both my cd drives but then it would hang at error 25 and not even boot anything on the screen so im not sure . Any suggestions or help would be great . Thanks

Hi monty.  Sounds like a definite bios boot setting to me. Unsure as to why the hard drive would not be the second or third choice. , unless you had it set to boot from cd drive only for some reason. ... i.e bios update or o.s install.  Got caught once that way myself on my 680i.   The FF on the readout would suggest to me the motherboard is fine.

Well i got it going . First tried clearing the cmos and that did not work . So i hooked up an old ide hard drive and installed windows to that and the board booted and loaded .  I tried repairing the start up with the windows disk but it said there were no problems . So once i got windows started of the other hard drive i was able to see my raid drives and saved what i needed and then created a new raid array and reinstalled windows and now everything is fine . SO not sure why it would not boot . But i needed a fresh start so im glad it worked.
