Been wanting to try this for a while and finally got around to it. Was able to source an extra chipset cooler assembly so my warrenty wouldn't be voided. Top portion of cooler is super easy to remove. You have to remove the entire chipset cooler assembly. Then underneath the NB cooler there are 2 small channels with phillips head screws at the end. Thats what holds the plastic top to the NB cooler itself. I was curious to see the bottom of the plastic piece as well to see where the wiring was. I have a 50mm fan on my NB cooler and always wanted to add a new screw hole but was scared I'd hit wiring or something behind it. As you can see the wiring is carefully tucked on the other side and held with hot glue from the factory. Remove those and you see the wiring for the 2 LEDs and the LEDs themselves. Super easy to swap. Unsolder current red LEDs and resolder LED color of your choice. Re-shrink wrap connections and your done! I went with white for mine....

Great work! I wanna know if this voids the warranty, though. As it states: - The product is returned to EVGA in the original factory configuration and condition. All aftermarket modification must be reversed before sending in the product for replacement.
Suppose you could just change it back to red, but has it already been voided? Just want total clarity.

I have a complete extra chipset cooler assembly. If something happens I can re-install it and it will be back to factory condition.
