Hello all, Since yesterday I have downloaded the nvidia surround drivers 258.69 for Win 7 64 bits. My setup has been working great with my tripple -SLi 480's sofar. Now since I wanted to start surround gaming (3x Acer GD245HQ one monitor per GTX-480) I installed the nvidia drivers, but during gaming I seem to get USB errors. My keyboard (Logitech G19 starts to go on/off) and same for my USB mouse. It is as if the USB devices are continuously resetting. Shortly after my PC freezes up. I have to do a hard reboot, and then during post it comes back with no keyboards detected. I then need to plug in my ps/2 keyboard and let it boot until it refreshes the logitech G19 USB drivers, and then it work again. This only happens when playing games, under desktop it's working fine. I have tried everything (also ICH voltage increase)... but issue remains. I re-moved one of the GTX480, so running in dual SLI it works perfectly. The third card is not defective, as the USB problem when running 3xSli Surround remains even with different cards. Anyone has run into this issue before? Hi Jacob, I have tried front + rear USB. I even bought an USB hub and tried it with that on front and back, but same issue. Also, everything is stock..... so no overlocking done on the system.

Also just to be complete, the 3 GTX480 are in PCIex8 formation. I tried 1x16 and 2x8, but also same issue.

Are you OC'd? Have you tried it without OC?
Main (gaming) rig: i7-3930K; Asus Rampage IV Extreme; H100 W/p-p Excaliburs, AS5; MSI 7870 2GD5/OC; Crucial M4 SSD 256GB. See my primary ModsRigs: Adam for the rest, and I have a second (wife's) rig Asus Rampage III Extreme & 960: Eve. Overclocking is useless to me if it is not rock stable.

ok thanks.... I have posted my problem on the mentioned thread. So no one here using 3x GTX480 on their X58 Classi and 3d surround?? I want to know if this is related to Nividia surround driver or that my mobo is actually faulty..... weird thing is that with the previous drivers (non 3d surround) 3x SLI is working perfectly.

I had the same problems but with an ASUS mobo, turns out, they were caused by my iPhone, which when connected, because i didnt have the latest iTunes, kept screwing with the USB ports (dont ask me why). They kept turning on and off, also (just like in your case) i couldnt get it to recognize my mouse and keyboard again, only after a hard reset. I had to install the latest iTunes or uninstall it completely in order to solve this issue. Mb u dont have/use an iPhone/iPod/iPad/etc. but if u do have another USB peripheral connected and it dosnt have the latest drivers and is something like a phone, because it dosnt have all of its software (for example, modem software) installed, it could scramble the USB ports for some retarded reason. I know this sounds VERY retarded, but it actually is true. Hope it helps.

Ok Guy's... after day's of tinkering and adding/removing cards and win re-installs, I have found that the USB issues in my case was beign caused by Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 Deluxe soundcard. I removed it, and now my triple SLI with 3 screens is working perfectly. I will now go to the Asus forums with my soundcard issue. Thanks to all who replied! Happy camper now..... now I can really enjoy my triple SLI + 3 screen setup in 3D!! BFBC2 looks magnificient, although since the latest patch they broke the crosshair :-(

I am also getting to the same problem, mostly in the menus of BF:BC2 and L4D2, everything seems to work ok once I magically get into a game. Im using a ASUS mobo and 3x EVGA 480GTX's and a Auzentech HD PCIx soundcard.
