I know the GTX4X0 users have been waiting for these drivers more so than we GTX200 series owners, but I'm happy to report that I'm seeing some positive performance numbers from them.  I've gained about 1500 3DMark Vantage Points and gained about 20-30FPS in BC2.  I'm now running around 120FPS in BC2 @ 1920x1080 w/ 16XQ AA and 16X AF with DirectX10!  I know such a big jump is hard to believe, I was shocked too.  Try them out and see for yourselves!   Select your card and OS here!

Having a couple issues though.  Precsion 1.9.4 is not correctly displaying GPU temperature or loads.  And WMP is not playing AVI files at all.  Going to restart and see if that fixes the problem.

Update:  Restarting fixed the Precision issue.  And the AVI issue is only affecting certain AVI files.  Must be a codec problem.

The new drivers also give you the option of selecting how you want to run Physx.  You can select which GPU (if you run SLI) or have all Physx calculations done on CPU, or have system auto select (usually GPU1).

In DX11 yes, which really doesn't apply to 200 series owners.  But it's good to see that they fixed it finally.

nVidia Conrol Panel System Information does not show PhysX. It seems like it wasn't installed in this beta version. Windows control panel does not show PhysX as being one of the installed programs either.

I downloaded the PhysX drivers here http://physxinfo.com/news/2384/physx-system-software-9-10-0222-available/

Now the version is showing in nVidia Control Panel and the Caps Viewer shows the checkmark in the PhysX box

The last patch in Splinter Cell added SLI, But it doesn't work right cause the text still strobes like crazy, thought this driver release would fix that sad is hasn't.

I confirm, poor performance in JC2 with a GTX 295 Co-Op : 28 fps instead of 37 fps in the city test... ****? And no way to find the nvapps.xml file anymore, so it's impossible to edit or add any profile (like SC Conviction) ! I hope it's a joke...

I tried this driver and my vantage score went down from 22000 to 19500, reinstalled the 197.13 and the benchmark went back up. also bioshock2 would lock up in dx10 using 3d vision, but would work in dx9.

Just curious how long does Nvidia usually leave drivers in Beta Stage as when I got 197.xx beta the next day they release the WHQL and I had to reinstall drive sweet etc.  So any info would be appreciated.

Absolutely trash!!! I notice no performance difference in JC2 and most importantly I went from 60-140FPS in Starcraft 2 with all settings maxed down to 20FPS. Looks like it is back to 191.07 for me AGAIN!!!!!!!!! When will Nvidia get their heads out of their asses and go back to making good drivers like they used to? God I wish Evga made drivers cause we wouldn't have these issues.

no sir... i dont like them...

    the performance is total garbage..

very bad stutter in all 3d aps. i also lost 3k in Vantage with these.  went from 32.9k to 29.8k, i think the stutter is the direct result of that lower score. i went back to the 197.45's score back up to 32.9K. I also saw a 20-30fps average drop in most games as well making some nearly unplayable.  ex: GTA IV max settings night shadows off (game that already has horrible sli optimization) average tri-sli fps with these 25-30 fps bad stutter.  with 197.45's 55-70fps no stutter

TF2 max exerything average 125-145fps very bad stutter, with 197's 185-300fps.
JC2 max everything average 20-30 fps random stutter, with 197's 55-70 fps
crysis max settings game crashed.. wouldnt run at all.  with 197's 45-70fps

very displeased with these drivers.  i wasnt expecting perfection or anything but these are horrible for betas. more like alphas than betas.

i do like the new GUI tho.. very nice..  i really like that it allows you to select what card you want to run physx on if you are running dual or tri-sli w/o a dedicated physx card.

I actually liked the 197.77 drivers better @ anything 4.2 Mhz or below, wished it would of come with the new GUI tho. your right its very nice.
but, the 190.56 driver and add your version of PhysX is the route I take, great spead no stutter and a great performer all round
