Also hide the 'updated' Realtek drivers in Windows Update. When I had this problem, I did everything from safe mode, but I don't know if this matters.
I got the same stop code (D1) on boot no matter what I did with Nvidia drivers until I rolled back the Realtek drivers.
I haven't done anything else with the Nvidia drivers since I rolled back the Realtek drivers and have had zero issues or BSODs. I'm using 197.45.
I noticed no performance or stability problems with or differences between the two Realtek drivers.
