EVGA 1080 ftw hybrid black screen on windows 10 bootup?

I'm pretty sure from what i've seen online this issue requires an rma replacement..
 
but i'm suddenly having an issue, not overclocked where the pc screen goes black on bootup and the fans run full speed..
 
This is windows 10 x64 redstone.
 
Anyone else ran into this, did it always require an RMA?
