Hello guys,

Switched to an EVGA x99 Classified mobo from an Asus Rampage IV Black Edition... I grew tired of the bad support from Asus...

Anyhow, has anyone here switched from an Asus board? I am trying to figure out how to disable speedstep, etc.

Or does anyone have a rundown that explains each function...

I am simply trying to overclock my cpu and that is it... I have a 6850k and right now it is sitting at 4.5ghz @ a 1.369 vcore.

However, it does not stay at 4.5ghz and fluctuates.... so I am trying to keep at 4.5ghz....

Thank you guys,
Layne

    Hello,

do not disable turbo in bios as it will lock the CPU multiplier to stock configuration.

In terms of CPU configuration changes needed in order to overclock, you would not need to change any option in the Advanced > CPU configuration
