I have an issue that I can't exactly wrap my head around. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY appreciate it if you could help me as I've been going crazy trying to figure this problem out. So I'm currently using an MSI A68HM-E33 V2 motherboard with an Athlon 860k and a HD 6970 (Everything works great together). Now I just purchased an EVGA GTX 960 2gb FTW and my computer will not boot up no matter what I do. My monitor just stays black and says "No Signal". Now I've tested my RAM and it's working perfectly, same with every other component in my system.
I then tested the 960 in my friends old FM2 computer and it worked and I was shocked as my computer is much more recent. I uninstalled my AMD drivers with DDU, I reset my CMOS and updated my BIOS to it's latest version (Version 8.4). I even completely reformatted my computer with no luck. I've tested three different monitors and televisions with DVI and HDMI cables with no luck.
I've done literally EVERYthing I could possibly do. I have no idea why my 960 will not work in my system while it works great in older systems. Could it possibly be because that my CPU isn't an APU? Because my friends computer is using an FM2 APU and I do remember having her computer not recognize the 960 until I installed the latest GeForce drivers. But then why would you NEED an APU to get a newer GPU to work? I don't understand that part. Very confusing and frustrating.
