Wow, very impressive psu upgrade from the G2. I'm glad I waited to rebuild until Kaby Lake... I'll be able to take advantage of one of these bad boys.
Any plans for a P3 line?

Mr Guru could of gave it a 10 out of 10 but chose to nit pick. My Seasonic Prime should of not really got a 10 out of 10 based on its cost. But it looks so ruddy cool tho.

I'm curious as to why you guys didn't opt for the 10 year warranty on the 550W and 650W models again. The 650W G1 still has a 10 year warranty despite being of a lower quality, and even Corsair has opted for the 10 year warranty on their RM550x and RM650x models which are of the same level of quality as the 550W and 650W G2s (and I assume G3s as well). Why not offer the lower wattage units with the same type of 10 year warranty?
I'm not trying rip on these units or EVGA in the slightest, I'm just genuinely curious as to what the thought process was behind the decision.

The P3 will be much appreciate in my Phanteks Evolv ATX. PSU chamber space is already at a premium so the shorter length is a Godsend.

It says the G3 is more silent but according to the chart comparison for the 850 version it's a lot louder than the G2 version. How come? Or with 1 GTX 1080, would I be safe to go 750w and also have a lot of efficiency? The G3 sure looks like a mastercraft, typical for EVGA ;) EDIT: Nvm, the 750 looks enough to me. I've decided to not go SLI for the associated problems.

I am also still happy with my 1300 G2 and 1200 P2 and 1600 G2 as well. But now I will be happy with a new 1000 G3  I forgot to add my SuperNOVA NEX Classified 1500 PSU, very happy with this unit and love the software for it.
