So I have a GTX 1080 and even when I ordered the pads from Evga I also ordered a 2 mm pads from amazon considering that is taking some time for Evga go approve my request.
The amazon pads are blue but i dont really care as long as they cool off my card.

So here is the stupid question for the admins:
If i use an ebay/ amazon/ newegg pads because Im not waiting 2 weeks for the evga ones. Will that affect my 10 year warranty??
I also think that the " therms and conditions". for this particular cards MUST BE CHANGED.

It saids on the warranty that Physical changes to the card could void your warranty. But you guys are making us do it due to a mistake.
Can u guys clarify?
Ty

No, it wont effect your warranty. Just dont use a hammer or nail gun to install the thermal pads. As long as you do not do physical damage to the card, you will be perfectly fine.

Also, vulgar language isnt allowed. I went ahead and edited it out.

I've sent in a request for the thermal pads a while back, it's finally updated from "awaiting approval" to "awaiting shipment" I hope the new status doesn't take to long to recieve them..atleast they are free with no shipping, thanks for that EVGA. For now I have my card with it's fans on 100% just to be safe. I have some 1.5mm thermal pads from ARCTIC, but I'm gonna wait untill I receive EVGA's since there cut specifically for my 1070 FTW and I can use the ARCTIC ones to replace the VRAM ones if they aren't making direct contact. If any of you Admins know what is the W/mK Thermal Conductivity of the EVGA thermal pads? I ask this because the one's I have from ARCTIC are 6.0W/mK and If the EVGA ones are better I'd like to know how much. Thank you.
