Will i still need update vbios if i install thermal pads?

I requested thermal pads for my 1080 ftw.
 
I will install them when they arrive, do I need to install vbios as well? Or it won't be necessary?
 
I have more aggressive fan curve already with my afterburner.

    Not necessary since you're already running the aggressive fan curve. I would still recommend updating the vbios just in case you decide to sell the card, you'll be helping the next user of your card out by doing so.
