I posted this in the dedicated 1050 Ti thread, but it got no love, so I'll try submitting the same questions as this new post.

Hello EVGA forums

Yesterday I bought an EVGA GTX 1050 Ti SC for a SFF build where cable management and temperatures is crucially important factors. I have 2 questions regarding the 1050 Ti, as I haven't received it yet, and thus can't verify. The questions are:

1: I've read about the padding missing on the pascal line (1060, 1070 and 1080) on reddit.com/r/nvidia, and I'm now wondering if this is also the case on the 1050's. Are they shipping with thermal padding or do we have to add that ourselves? What happens to warranty if we mod the cards with thermal pads?
2: From what I understand, the 1050 Ti SC ships without a 0 Db fan mode. This is a big let-down for me, as I assumed it to be an industry standard at this point, more or less. Is there any plans on adding this feature through a VBIOS update?

Thanks in advance.

Hello lalle88 and welcome to the forums!

I am sorry to hear about your concerns over your purchase. Please know that we are here and we stand 100% behind our products. You can see our official response to the thermal pad issue here: http://www.evga.com/thermalmod/
TL;DR: The temps of the cards are within spec and are functioning properly. These pads are not required for a normal use and are completely optional. We are offering these because we want to give you guys the option to have a cooler card if you wish.

As of now there are no plans for these pads to be preinstalled. You will not void your warranty if your remove the shroud and install these pads.

Regarding th 0db fan speed, currently there is no update for this but seeing that the 1060 has an update, I'm sure we can provide this if the demand is there. The 2 fan coolers/FTW models should have this feature out of the box.

Alright, thanks.

I've just received information that the card arrived, so I'll pick it up tomorrow. If thermals are problematic, I'll order some thermal pads and mod the card.

Would be amazing with a 0 Db fan mode (again, I say this without having tested the card, so I have no idea about it's acoustics).
