UPDATE:
recieved the chips but won't be able to get them on the board until the 28th of November since the company is all booked up until then.
Fingers crossed this works out!

UPDATE:
I was wondering if this monster of a board, or any board of that size would fit in the Rosewill RSV L4500 rackmount.
My initial idea is to put my PC and the SR2 (if it works out) inside a rack like this and shove it in a server-rack with a switch etc.
The thing is, they refer to this chassis as being max E-ATX but according to the photo's it looks like it could handle HPTX, any thoughts?
http://www.rosewill.com/r...ct_tabs_Specifications

If the SR2 survives the transplantation and the rack supports it I might want to get this case (since it's cheap for what it is) and mod it a bit to get one or maybe two triple radiators in, a bit like Linus did with his personal rig.
The chassis does not need to hold any drives other then a couple SSD's I'll be able to put somewhere since they don't really take up that much space and because all my main storage like movies etc. go on my NAS.

Thoughts and suggestions are welcome

That is a good Case, I changed out the Front Fans with;
 $23.99 Fan, 120x38mm, 184CFM AND $2.49 Fan Grill, 120mm
And the Rear Fans with a Pair of:
Vantec Tornado TD8038H 80x80x38mm Double Ball Bearing High Performance Case Fan (Black) AND$0.21 Fan Grill, 80mm

Nice :D thanks! I wonder if two of these would fit with a little modding at the front:
Dimensions: (LxBlX): 400x125x60.5mm

60.5mm + 38mm 98.5mm + 4mm Grill  might be a tight fit, them fans Will Take a Finger Off if you use them Best have the Guard.
I would look at this Guy;
$84.99 Radiator, 3x120mm Fans, 54mm Thick, 30-FPI Copper The 30 FPI are nice. But Still A really Tight Fit
$66.99 Radiator, 2x120mm Fans, 54mm Thick, 30-FPI Copper  might be just at tight
$59.99 Radiator, 3x120mm 30-FPI Copper  Just under 30mm but still have 30 FPI

This is going to look great when you add the Water Loop.
Can't wait to see the Photos

Cool, yeah if the mobo works then I'm just going for the case and see what I'll be doing afterwards.
Probarly going to modify it anyway to fit some things in and paint the insides because it looks better if you open it up.
But indeed, if the loop works out and the parts that I want to fit in work, then I'm happy as can be!

No worries, there will be photo's and regular updates if the mobo survives the chip replacement :) Which will take place on the 28th of November..fingers crossed!

It would be really Cool if EVGA came out with an SR-3 That would support 4 Graphics Cards at x16 with Two Zeon CPUs.
That Indeed would be my Next Rig. Throw in two 20 Core Zeon's and I am set for life.

If those are the pictures of the case, it wouldn't fit by at least 2 PCIe slots, 3 if you want to put a dual slot card in the bottom slot.

Or they could just leave motherboard manufacturing to grown-ups and we can all live happily ever after.

no need to put something in the bottom slot, if anything it would be a single slot 10GBps card or something, i figured that one out but there is no real need for it since the only reason i would go for this case is to get the board in there and rack it.
I never go for Quadfire/sli so yeah

In which case you are still 2 PCIe slots short. HPTX requires 9 slots of space after the I/O plate and that case only has 7. SR-2 slots are in positions 3-9.

that does indeed makes things complicated but the picture that bcavnaugh posted seems the hold a mobo of the same size but i could be wrong though.
I could however just get the rack none the less for the other PC I have and testfit it with the SR2.
I know from experience that nothing is what it seems in terms of fitting hardware :p

The Motherboard that is inside is listed shown on my 2P Rig and was an ASUS KGPE-D16 Motherboard and is now a SuperMicro MBD-H8DGi-F
Same size Motherboards (EEB (12"x13"))
And in my 4P is a SuperMicro H8QGL-IF Both SuperMicro Motherboards are Useless as a Gaming Computers.
They do make Great Servers, that is I also have some SuperMicro Motherboards.
See http://www.evga.com/articles/00537/  You need a Case that has 9 or More PCIe Slots.
SR-2 Size HPTX (High Performance Technology Extended) form factor of 15 inches x 13.6 inches
