Yes I am feeling bad about failing to start this one on time. I just got the project running so a few days push wouldn't hurt. Looks like we are in 2nd. rs

so thanks to TZC i'm getting more interactive in the forums and learning about all this stuff. I started with WCG, so naturally I have their version of the bionic client. If i'm going to be adding other projects (just added PG), does having the WCG client have any affect, anything unique about it (WCG's client) other than their logo? Would it be better to switch the generic bionic client (if so, what are some of the difference that would make it better)?

Download the Current BOINC Client https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php and if you want you can use BAM! to manage your Projects instead setting each project in the BOINC Client. https://boincstats.com/en/bam/ Link for BAM! ALSO: http://boincstats.com/en/?pr=bo&bam=0 Dashboard. (My BAM! menu) is how you get to the Dashboard. Also stats be seen here and also over on Free-DC http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=index First go to the Forum http://www.free-dc.org/forum/forum.php and setup you account. A reminder that your email address and account name are 1) Case Sensitive 2) you must use the same email address across all BOINC Projects. You we get a Combined CPID like 3b53d3dc1cfa3194c556caa617b339c2 from BAM! Give BAM! at least 2 Weeks to Settle on your account. Before you get started full bore if you do not want to use your primary email address you can create an email just for BOINC. Not saying you have only that Once you Start you cannot change it. This is your Account (BOINCstats BAM! ID: 2280896) http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/user/detail/2280896/projectList and Stats Your BOINC Cross Project IDentifier e83ab327f71495c10ce23cbcb3f3e2e9 http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/user/detail/e83ab327f71495c10ce23cbcb3f3e2e9/ Your Charts: http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/user/detail/2280896/charts
ahh good stuff. I'll have to get a bam account set up. My email and screen name are already set up for gaming related stuff so i'll just add in bionic with no issues, that way I wont get confused as well...hehe. I have a few more purchases to make...stil have 2 cpu's not put into use yet, will hav eto see what deals i can score this coming week to get all my chips running.

Wizanhi - Bcavnaugh had to help me because I did not ask these questions at the start. I ended up with 3 separate cpids which was a mess. His instructions will make adding projects very easy. I like using BAM as he suggested. Welcome to Crunching!

With 5 hours remaining, it looks like we'll finish comfortably in 13th place out of 83 teams. Not too bad a showing considering the popularity of WCG and the teams listed ahead of us. Nice work team Once this contest is rolled into the record books, anyone interested in crunching a new CPU only project until we swarm on Enigma on Dec 5th-9th? TN-Grid directs their computing power towards various projects. The initial one is gene@home, which looks at relationships between various genes. Yay, a new bio-med project!!! Found out about this project as it was suggested as a potential over at the DC-Vault. 1) You must manually create your account on TN-Grid site initially, as it requires the invitation code listed on their front page. 2) I created a new Crunching@EVGA team for the project, so be sure to join the team! 3) In BOINC manager, add the project manually as: http://gene.disi.unitn.it/test/ I've crunched a few tasks so far that take between 30min - 90min on an i7-2600K (HT on).

planetclown you could add TN-Grid to our Project of the month.invitation code: science@tn you can use BAM! to add this Project. The Project will be down in one hour for less than an hour. Running some Tasks now, about 45 minutes run time. March is Open, and we need more team members to use the POTM.
