I have had my EVGA GTX 780 SC ACX W/BACKPLATE for 6 months now i am not a clocker or fiddler just a plug it in and that will do for me. which is why i bought this card all i needed was one to be plenty good enough to play a few games..
All has been good until two days ago when it started pumping out hot air and stopped being able to play games ie major freezing and stuttering bad enough so you couldn't play any games at all some one told me to try firstly to clean out drivers with a program get latest and see if it made any difference. well it didn't unfortunately. Another thing it is doing is if i am not doing anything and it is sat idling it has started getting hotter then normal jumping from normal temp to 60 deg with fan blasting if i touch the mouse it will stop and calm down but if i leave it it will fire up again..i have put GPU-Z on to keep an eye on it but i don't really know what i am looking at this guy said my "that the memory and core clocks are very low i would expect them to be a lot higher "
and suggested new thermal paste on the GPU now as i said don't usually do stuff like this but i am willing to give it a go as i cannot afford to shell out on a new card (old git no money)

Thanks pretty much sorted now thanks new (old case Chieftec Dragon DX-01B-D much more room in it old but solid ) cabling sorted new side fan in case and a pair of Yate Loon D80SM-12 case fans..
all looks good at the moment...
