EDIT: 06/21/2016

They have patched the other REGIONAL EVGA sites and you can no longer view your specific spot in the queue.
Unless an EVGA Rep tells you otherwise, there is no longer any way to view this information.
Back to the waiting game, folks... Nothing to see here! Let's just let this thread die :p

    Dear labeld,

I am sorry for any confusion as the card that you requested has just started to ship this week.  We are doing everything that we can to get these processing, but there will be delays due to the number of requests received.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Oh, this wasn't a complaint at all! I understand there will be a wait... I just wanted to post about my wait time and experience for other people to see so they know what to expect.

    Thanks for response!

Change to the German site and under your products you can see your number in the queue.

    Thanks for the info!

Why does this number appear there and not in the US version?  Seems like an easy fix to prevent lots of questions/complaints from Step-Up participants not knowing their queue positions.

Wow nice find. Says #1 here..hopefully it's correct and things start moving soon.
EU, 1080 acx 3.0 btw - took me no longer than a minute to put in my request after 1080 cards appeared on the list (drop down menu).

Just checked mine, #963. However, after having checked several different threads, I don't believe this is actually your number in the Queue. This is just an alternative to the Step-Up ID that their database uses for other countries I believe.

At least, I'm hoping that's true.
Started my Step-Up on the 31st.
Guess we'll find out if far0sino gets his next step in a day or two.

The number changes, when I first checked mine i was at 565 (currently 553). This change has only been in the past few days so take it with a grain of salt.

Been checking my number periodically on my ACX 3.0 as well, down to #713 from #725 last week. I'm guessing people have been dropping out of the queue? Or are these cards starting to ship? Haven't seen anything on the forums or on reddit about  anything shipping other that the SC.

I dropped from 257 to 256 over night. I am inclined to think it is at least somewhat legit and will keep checking as it goes.

I'm starting to think so as well~ Decided to do a little test. I cancelled my step-up and switched it over to the Reference Model. I was then #52 in the Queue. Cancelled that, switched over to the ACX 3.0, and jumped all the way up to #1524. Switched back to the Reference Model and went up to #53. So, yeah, I'm assuming that is the accurate number. Seeing as I'm not gonna be doing any OC'ing and strictly playing at 1080p/60Hz I don't mind sticking with the Reference model since I'll get it sooner.

Plus, if it does become an issue, I'll just buy one of the waterblocks.

    (EDIT: Accidentally put 53 twice.)

Just switched over the Asia region for the EVGA website and it specifically says # in queue. So we at least know where we are and I've gone from 257 to 239.

I've been considering doing the same. Though I'd rather not pay the $100 premium for the FE I want to go SLI in 6 months or so and with my case setup it's probably my best bet. Just curious to what the queue is for a FE step-up right now. Don't mind waiting a bit since I'll probably be waiting at least another month for the ACX.

    EDIT:

I went ahead and cancelled my step up and switched over to the FE. Not because I'm tired of waiting but I want to SLI at a later date to take better advantage of my 1440p 144hz monitor. Hoping I don't regret this decision. Just sucks paying the extra $100 for an "inferior" cooling solution but without getting a new case and moboard the FE is my best bet. Currently at #142 in the step-up queue. I guess the one upside is that I'll most likely be getting my card sooner.

I can't send PM's yet Shoe, so I'll reply here. I didn't go for the Founders Edition, I went for the standard Reference Model that's only $609.99. I "Started" the step-up yesterday, and am #54 on the Queue. I'm sure the wait for the card will be significantly shorter (As opposed to the #1530 Queue for ACX) and don't mind the possible issue of Thermal Throttling.

Oh ok, I just switched over to the founders, I'm not big into overclocking much so I'm not worried about thermal throttling either even though my intentions are to SLI in 6 months or so. I think I remember seeing a Twitter post from EVGAJacob about the base model blower style cards not shipping until mid July, I might consider switching to that one as opposed to the FE. I'm perfectly fine with waiting a bit.

Just did a search and looks like the Mid-July window seems to be "Accurate" to a sense. So, if that's the case, guess I have some spending room until then. Really wish we had a concrete answer so I could know when/how much to put away for my Step-Up, but I understand that they really can't. Here's to hoping it's sooner, rather then later. And worst case scenario, if I get the itch bad enough, I'll just scalp one off newegg or something at 4 in the morning and sell my current 970, haha.

Re: Two Week Since 1080 Launch (Step Up Wait Time) 2016/06/13 15:34:07 (permalink)
I do not see a queue number anywhere, in any language. I got the message that the step-up request was received but have seen nothing else. If I check my product details, it looks the same as it did prior to my step-up, basically asking me if I want to step-up.

I only have 10 days left on my card, getting a little worried that I have seen no status change at all. For those that have went through the step-up process, is this normal?

On a side note, I wish there was another option in the step-up program for people that would like to keep their current card at used market value + the difference.

    For example, I paid $319 for my 970 FTW. Current used 970 FTW ~ $250. Current price of ACX 3.0 1070 ~ $419. $419 (new 1070) - $319 (original purchase price 970 FTW) = $100 + $250 (current market value of used 970 FTW) = $350 for new 1070 ACX 3 via EVGA step-up.

Granted, I could use the $250 and just buy one of the many 970's on sale now, but I'd rather keep the one I have (I know it hasn't been abused).

    Thanks

How exactly do you see your position in the queue? I also entered the queue two weeks ago, but my step-up page just says 'Pending'.  I will try to insert a screenshot.

Is this normal, or should I try to contact EVGA?
