This is for the new guys mostly that don't have any overclocking experience.First I hope you realize that at any time you overclock you risk frying your board, cpu, memory graphics cards and any other component you have.Second thing, just because someones settings work well on their board does not mean that they will work on yours, there are way too many varriables.Use voltages and settings for refference only.Third don,t be afraid to ask for overclocking help, everyone on this forum was a newbie at one time or another and most people are glad to help. Its much better to ask that dumb question than to let the smoke out of your new 1000 dollar cpu.
Thanks for making some great templates.

Please do not remark in this thread. This thread is for templates or for posts to point out errors or requested changes in the templates. If you have issues with overclocks please post those in the normal thread for that particular motherboard unless iride4u should want something else.

I was having some pretty serious heat and stability issues with my settings for a OC @ 4.2 GHz.  Thanks for posting your templet iride4u. It really helped give me an idea where I was going off track.

Everyone's chips are different, OC differently. For instance, I achieved my max OC without raising VTT, a feat others can't seem to reproduce. As such, you cannot expect a high-OC template to work for you. However lower OC templates are often interchangeable - except when you have different memory, in the case of memory settings. But if that's what you want, then "Dummy OC" will suffice anyway. So using someone else's template is not recommended, but might give you an idea of what kind of settings you should aim for when you OC. It's not to be taken literally, as an exact setting template.

I'm glad you two got a good laugh out of it.
I was having some trouble working on a stable OC.  Decided to try out his templet (for troubleshooting purposes).  Most of the OP's numbers worked perfectly for my rig.  I wouldn't of used it if the hardware wasn't so similar.  I did realize that it was for troubleshooting and I was having trouble (heat and stability).  I plugged in some of the OP's settings and they helped me to achieve a nice OC.  Further tweaking was and is still needed.
I'm a long time builder and but new to OC'ing Intel's.  I was looking for help and got a mocking instead... So thanks for that.

have fun stable!! stable!! stable!! 24/7.
one thing, your board us not the classified like mine, so you will need to change the CPU VTT Voltage to +200mv and not +100mv like i did cuse your board come with 1.1v and mine 1.2v.
    hope this helps.

Oh come on. Look at it from my viewpoint, you looked like a noob to me, from that post. Not mocking you like serious, just light-hearted humor, also simultaneously trying to let other ppls know they shouldn't expect to be able to plug those numbers into their different rigs. I'm sorry if you took it that way, I wasn't trying to degrade you. Actually it was more aimed at warning others not to take the template as numbers to plug in. I'm sorry.
