I can't install these until I get home from work, but I'm probably going to go have a few green beers tonight, so I doubt I'll have time to test them...  Sorry man.

Hopefully they will improve performance with Metro 2033 for using your gpus in crossfire or tritire I really am thinking about getting a couple of 5870's waiting on Crap to let me know if it utilizes both his cards in crossfire... If im going to play Metro 2033 I want it to be in DX11=D

Well when you are fighting for ever frame, even 3 to 4% is good.

Now i am pretty sure they focused almost all their energy on Dirt 2 since its really the major DX11 game out right now. They wanted to make sure that reviews with DX11 games looked good.

Ok after looking at the link it seems to be the same driver that I have been using for a month now. Got excited for nothing.

I don't think it is.  I got the link from here:

    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=317683

Apparently that screenshot shows that it is a new(er) driver than the previous 10.3 drivers...  I'm still getting reaquainted with ATI drivers though, so if I'm wrong, sorry.

OK, so from the thread I just linked to, you can see that the drivers today are the 8.712.100313a-097309e-ATI driver packaging version.

    From this thread:

    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=316445

You can see that the original 10.3 drivers released were the 8.71.3-100205a-095620E driver packaging version.

Definitely two different versions and apparently, these new(er) ones are better.

Just tested Eyefinity and for some reason it is not remembering my profiles exactly like the 10.3 preview was before.

I just clicked on my Eyefinity shortcut and this is what happened on my left monitor good job ATI you did it again.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSmVQVmJICQ

I had to pull the power on my monitor because in Eyefinity that was my main monitor so I could not get to anything. And the monitor would not let me turn it off for some reason. That is my Active Display Port Monitor.

I am seriously bout to say screw it and sell this ****ing card. I am tired of this crap. Others are having issues even installing the driver. They obviously do NO testing at all on any driver they release. The old 10.3 preview was good and I figured these were the same but someone mentioned they were different god I guess they are.

Good god, so I decided to call ATI and talk to support then I got transferred to higher level support and I can't beleive some of the stuff the guy was telling me.

Basically he admitted to them not doing much testing and it is a very common problem to reproduce old problems, I said so they don't regression test and he said not always haha.

Then I ask him about the atikmpag.sys BSOD and he said yea it is known and is a common problem that can happen but there is no way for us to test it so there is no information on it. He said there is no known hardware that is causing it. I said so it is driver related then, he said yea pretty much I guess you could say that haha. He said that it is to difficult to replicate for them to test to see what is causing the problem.

He also went on to say every driver he has used for the past 10 years has had some kind of problem, he said there will always be some type of problem with each driver release just depends on the system. And it is all tested with the Cert Team, and all this is driver related.

He said he suggest finding a driver that works for what I want it to do basically have to pick and choose what is more important to me. I have now made up my mind and going to sell my card. I am not going to deal with working driver here and there and then new drivers reproducing old problems because they don't know or feel like doing a deep testing plan.

Man I am bummed for you. Good luck with your sale... And if it is ridiculously cheap.. pm me please!

I can say that any driver can cause issues... For example on my Nvidia cards the 190.37's (I think that is right) almost killed my TRI SLI 285's... I keep going back to the 182.50's and never have issues.... That said I do find the 190.62's to work great for folding and gaming...
