Okay so i love EVGA they are great PSU GPU and have great customer support that is why i am here. My question is with your 980Tis are your classy and K|NGP|N editions the only ones that use Custom PCBs? is there anything special to the ACX 2.0s. As i will be water cooling them after a month so i want custom not reference design.

So far, the 980 Classified and K|ngp|n are the only announced custom pcb's, but they may release a ftw as well. All of the other cards are reference design, and use the Titan pcb minus the VRAM on the back of the card. Everything else is the same.

Get a used one as a temp from the market. There are lots of 980s for really good prices right now.

As for the price, just a guess would be $850 or so. That would be the same price line as the 780ti vs classified and K|ngp|n of that time frame, but there really is no telling until release honestly.

Caselabs sma8... *drooling* I love my Caselabs case.

Be careful with the m.2 make sure it is pcie and not sata. If it is sata (haven't had a chance to research, sorry) it won't work with the classified motherboard.

Everything else looks spectacular. Take your time and make sure you get the correct parts. I am going through a nightmare with incorrect parts that I assumed would work together.

I just left Okinawa and Korea, so I know the pain. Save your case labs box and packing material. I reshaped mine, tmo, around the world and had no damage at all. I suggest pictures of how it is packed for memory refreshing when you repack everything to move.

I definitely take it apart, because it is hard for them to mispack and lose my stuff, if I pack it myself, and make sure it is better than they can.

Yes Classified and Kingpin are the only cards that use a custom PCB.

There are a ton of military 'geeks' as well as those of us who are prior service.

I no longer run water cooled so that may be a concern for you even after draining, but I personally always went in somewhere and had a spray foam shell made for systems so that they fit perfectly into a box with a lot of protection any time I had to PCS.  Maybe I was just too lazy to take it all down...

Best of luck on your GPU decisions, and welcome to the forums.
