Well it has been out for ten days now. I have to say since the official release I have not played one minute of any other game. It has totally sucked me in,

I enjoy it greatly and some of the maps are amazing! At this rate it will become my favorite game of all time. Still to early to tell. But it looks like that is the direction it is going.

Add to that, they announce additional maps and server upgrades this early in the game! Very smart move....

So what do you think?

This game ROCKS.  Graphics are fantastic, the sound effects are the BEST I have ever heard on a FPS.  PhysX is also great.  This is a very solid release, with great game play.  Man EA just nailed this one, just nailed it.

What do I think? Just look at the hours in my sig.


For me this is one of the best online shooters ever.  Bugs and all.

Its getting better over time, still doesn't feel right to me. hit boxes are a little wonky, and the heli's float more than fly. but like I said it progressively gets better with every patch. trying not to complain too much. the main thing that drives me crazy is the server list refresh time. over all a solid game.

I'm still unlocking stuff -_-..

I'll give you the heli's and the browser, but the hit boxes are great on most everything except the shotguns imo.

I can't input an IP for direct connect in BC2.  Is there something I am missing here?  I don't see where to input the IP.  Help

Another vote for the game.......enjoy playing the game when my son isn't playing on line....

AHHHH reading this thread makes me want to buy it sooo bad lol!

I am having a lot of fun with this game.  Love the destructible buildings, rush mode, and amazing sound.

I am only having a few minor problems.  Like the knifing that Hanni mentioned.  The server browser (wished it had more search filters).  Not being able to connect to EA servers.  And the random crash to desktop that I get every now and then.

But besides from those complaints I can't put this game down.

Love it... when I can actually get on to play.  The sound is amazing.  Squad play is so cool.  Destructible environment is the best.  Cannot really say enough about these strong points.  The single player is also so satisfying.

What I don't like.
1.  Cannot put an IP to direct connect to a server.  Even cavemen had that ability.
2.  Server search.  Good lord.  EA has been doing this for so many years, and they still have this crud for a browser.
3.  Performance.  As you can see from plenty of other posts, performance is lacking.  FPS in the 40-50 with such high-end systems is not ideal.  Some of this is drivers, but I feel most of it is from poor coding within the game itself  Hopefully patches will come to address this.

Cant believe ive seen people (not here on evga forums, yet) compare it to that deplorable pile of **** MW2!!

Only complaint are the issues with the multiplay that others have already mentioned - im sure they will get it all sorted out.

I really like it but found I've grown tired of the maps. Running the same thing over and over is just not my style, it's when you're in 'uncharted' territory that people's skill really shines, not memorizing maps. The map pack is essential, and it's good they're already coming out with one (hopefully properly playtested).
I agree about the damage system needing to be tweaked, it's silly when I hit someone multiple times with a mounted, high calibre gun and don't kill them, also silly if I hit them from 15 feet away, directly in the head with the basic sniper rifle, and they don't die (hax or lag maybe? idk). Same with the BS point blank AT or grenade attacks, complete BS.
One thing that really pisses me off is if I hit someone multiple times with the thompson at fairly far range, then they somehow kill me in a couple shots with the saiga (think that's how you spell it). The melee attack is also broken; they could be right in front of you and the animation shows you stabbing them right in the head, but no kill :/
Overall it's pretty fun to play though. My major issue with the game is random disconnects and random CTD without error from the main menu...

LOVE IT!!  I was bang into cod waw before this.  Needless to say i havent touched waw since bc2 came out, or any other game :D
