Damn sad. I have much of my last three builds that came from them. Not the CPUs, GPUs, HHDs, SSDs or cases, but everything else. Need to print my invoices so I have my records up to date. I have ordered from PerformancePCs and I guess that is all we have now. That is until someone fills this void.

BF3PRO Yeah... I don't really understand... I guess things happen... What would happen to the stock?
Unless the stock was purchased on credit then it would remain with the owner. Considering that (according to the overall thread) the company was a single owner/sole proprietor type business there would not be much recourse as to getting stock from them. If this is true then there is a real shortage of suppliers like these going around these days. I wonder what really is the case with the company but we may never truly know the whole reason for them closing up.

Yea I payed for the order 2 weeks ago. I got a tracking number but says it has only been electronically received from the shipper, so that means UPS has not picked it up, or even if they can seeing everyone saying they are closed.

I hate PPC's, their shipping to APO is crazy expensive. The guys at frozencpu would cut me some slack on shipping if i spent 100 bucks or more. especially on small items like fittings.

Your order has a different problem then. I ordered something on Thursday and it was delivered on Friday (last week).

FrozenCPU.com out of business? (UPDATE - Appears FCPU is still in business)
2015/02/10 18:26:03
(permalink)
Note - this has not been officially confirmed yet, but it's important enough that you should pay attention if this affects you. This has been posted on the forums in a couple other sections: http://forums.evga.com/FrozenCPU-CLOSED-m2294131.aspxand http://forums.evga.com/Unconfirmed-by-FrozenCPU-FrozenCPU-closing-m2294166.aspx I figured it better get posted here, as well, as there may be a number of people who have ordered or in the process of ordering through the site. It's been kind of a shock, but it started here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1540656/unofficial-frozencpu-shuts-its-doors At one point, a Swiftech rep posted that it was confirmed that FCPU was out of business. Later, Swiftech's CEO retracted that, and downgraded the status to, essentially, nobody knows what's going on right now. If confirmed, I'm personally sorry to see the site go, as I've bought many items from the site over the years, and referred many people there, as well. Update: http://hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1041419154&postcount=79 EDIT: We just heard back from Mark Friga, the owner of FrozenCPU.com, a long time enthusiast community supplier, and he explained to me that FrozenCPU is in fact not going out of business as rumored earlier today. He said that FrozenCPU is currently running a skeleton crew and to please bare with his company while the it is ramping back up to 100% employee capacity.

The labor strikes in Asia aren't helping either. Nice to see Frozen still kicking it :)

Given that Frozen supposedly had a staff of approximately 10 people before, well, whatever happened, I highly doubt that the labor strikes in Asia had anything to do with what went down.

Yup. I hope this is true. I was all depressed till after page 30 on OCN. Everyone is freaking out, etc. This simmered a few of us down. Ironically, I had placed an order to FCPU during yesterday's evening before I took notice of all these speculations. Hoping everything works out for FCPU as I've done 80%-90% of all my water cooling business there.

It seems the rumors of their demise were greatly exaggerated. I have had some very good experiences with them. I understand their business was impacted yesterday, but I am hopeful they get things under control and these rumors do not impact them long-term. The OP over at Overclocker had some information that was not appropriate. I am sure they meant good things by posting it, but it reminds us that we all need to be careful about rumors and communication. If they are found to be wrong, then there could be ramifications. As for PPCs, they have good stuff, but I have to agree with bcavnaugh that their website really sticks. I would have not paid that designer, as the impacts to the customer are not very good. On top of the fact that their shipping is outrageous. Still might be an opportunity for someone to enter this market. Maybe even Newegg could start carrying some water blocks and odds and ends, as they carry some stuff but not a robust selection. Would be nice to have a few more options.

Only takes 1 thing to do in a small shop like that. A sexual harassement issue, a couple employee's violating a business rule, some people went out partying and got in trouble with the law. If we haven't confirmed fired/quit it could have been as simple as a bunch of them catching the flu/food poison and being put out for a few days.
