When I try to flash I get the message "Boot from CD : FD 1.44MB System Type-(06)" and it hangs indefinitely.  Is this how this is supposed to work?  I am a flash my bios virgin, so please be gentle.

Still happens, you enable Turbo Performance and Memory does not set as you did in Bios. I set memory ratio to 1333MHz to have 2000MHz, and still set 800MHz.

Multiplier keeps jumping on my system from 21x-22x for example if I set my OC for 4.3 in bios it jumps up to 4.5 and then back to 4.3 in eleet and cpu-z shows the same thing, another thing vdroop's not working for me it shows the exact same volts I set in bios in eleet with no drop.

My mem shows up fine though 2:10/2000mhz no problem, going back to 44.

Forgot to mention turbo on and turbo performance off..

Yes, this is expected if Turbo Performance is enabled.

What about the multiplier going to 22x is that normal?

Miss the old Classified boot screen on S227 but seems to be working fine. Haven't got into overclocking test yet. But not sure if Sleep mode is working in Win7 64. The system is actually sleep walking in that all the fans are spinning and nothing gets powered down. Pressing the power button resumes the windows session. Maybe I have to set the correct option in Bios? No problems with Hibernate....

Also voltage settings seem high for 'Auto' for dram voltage at 1.70v. I thought that the limit was 1.65 though I never set my ram to auto before. Does the bios know something I don't know about how much voltage it takes to get 1600mhz ram stable? Even though manufacturer spec is at 1.65? Had stability problems at over 1066mhz on my 920. Hopefully this new bios will fix it or maybe I should let it overvolt everything...

Dude are you sure I got turbo performance set to off maybe I'm missing something?.. All of the previous bios I've tried it's never done that.

I had to disable turbo performance because my 2:10/2000mhz won't stick with that sucker on..

Ok, Just to fully understand. What does Turbo performance do?

And. when I turn on Turbo mode and I am normally at a 20x multiplier the cpu does 22x for core 0, and 21x for core 1,2,3 then? or are all cores at 21x

Just installed this update this morning and now windows 7 (x64) won't recognize that VT is enabled. Shows up in the BIOS as being enabled, but when I start Virtual PC, it isn't letting me run anything. Anyone else experiencing this?

Silly question...I know I just woke up.  But how are you guys getting AWDFLASH and BootDisk2BootStick to run in Windows 7 64-bit???

Awdflash says "incompatiable OS version"  and BootDisk just never completes.

Turbo performance gives you an extra multiplier. Instead of 21X it gives you 22x. The rest of the cores are running at 21x.
When your running a multi threaded application (where all four cores are being used) it gives you that little bit of an extra hmph, push to run that application better. I hope that makes sense.
Turbo performance = better performance (if your system is stable)

Yes, this is expected if Turbo Performance is enabled.

Why is this necessary, Turbo Performance would be a desirable feature if it wasnt for this.  Why do you have to set the memory so low just to allow the 2x bin multiplier on 1 core to show up more?

So the "Sets ICH Voltage to 1.1v as Default" is for? The malfunction USB issue or is it good for my harddrives that experience some bad worst attributes in the SMART readings?

ahh mellowgeek.  Thanks.   I've flashed using those instructions before and everything was a breeze.  (Im a moron...just needed to drag/drag Awdflash to the flashdrive...so forget I mentioned that part).  However, I still can't get BootDisk2BootStick v0.10 to finish writing DrDos.bin to my flashdrive.  I'm thinking it has something to do with the OS being 64-bit.  I have tried to run BootDisk in administrator mode, and Compatibility Mode Windows XP.  No luck.  (flash drive has been formatted, so it's clean).   Does Windows 7 64-bit continue to access the flash drive even when you aren't doing anything?  Maybe it's interfering with the BootDisk application.

    Any thoughts?

Still happens, you enable Turbo Performance and Memory does not set as you did in Bios. I set memory ratio to 1333MHz to have 2000MHz, and still set 800MHz.

Yes, this is expected if Turbo Performance is enabled.

Why is this necessary, Turbo Performance would be a desirable feature if it wasnt for this.  Why do you have to set the memory so low just to allow the 2x bin multiplier on 1 core to show up more?

no turbo performance has nothjing to do with turbo mode, it's just a tweak to make gulftown perf slightly faster. you can call it tweak performance, etc  just happened to think of turbo due to terminology cliches

moving up to higher multipliers in single core app is just CXE funtion, just set to auto for that but may not be that stable when overclocking (ovbiously since it is similar to overclocking and you become essentially overclocking your overclock)

I'm  running 5ghz on Bios 44, and everything works great. So,I'll hold off on this one til a consensus arrives from the end users that it's better than 44. Cheers!
