I totally took this idea from Talonman's vantage thread(s), but altered it for CPU purposes this time round. Post your maximum validation clockspeeds here.

 *** Intel's current CPU line, is the i3/i5/i7. ***

I will handle recording both 920/940/965 C0 speeds, and 920/930/950/960/975 D0 speeds in this thread. Upon it's release I will add a new category for the i7 980X, the Gulftown Extreme Edition 6 core monster.

Edit: 980X released, category added.

                  - The Official i5, and i7 CPUZ frequency score thread -

This does not have to be a record-setting-suicide run... It's just for comparison purposes, and to keep a little friendly competition going while we wait on new hardware to arrive.  If you have old C0 runs, feel free to add them.

Please provide a CPU-Z validated link with post, to allow for score verification.
NOTE: Please only post your max overclock, or the max you have currently hit.

Help me out, and populate this line with your data, and post along with each entry:
If you're running a C0 stepping processor, post this:
Name ----------------- i7 920 C0 @ 4.342Ghz, OCZ Gold 1600 @ 2100Mhz on H2o
or if running a D0 stepping processor:
Name ----------------- i7 920 D0 @ 4.440Ghz, Corsair Dominator 1866 @ 2200Mhz on air

If running an i3/i5/Gulftown, it's the same.

Feel free to post ONE picture of your system, if you wish.

Only the #1 slot gets their entry in RED, signifying they are our current Big Dog Woof!

***A little info about i7s.***

Guys let me tell you, since I built this rig I've been running it in open rooms, such as the living room. Now it's in my bed room, and the heat output is huge when stresstesting, on a benching day my room temps probably rise 5-8C with the window open! These chips make some serious heat, so don't be too hopeful to hit insanely high stable clocks on air, unless you have a cherry chip and run 4.3Ghz @ 1.25Vcore or something really low like that.

***Overclocking the i7***

I hope these links below will help. One of the tips I have are: Cooling. That's one of the most important things in overclocking. Typically, the colder you get, the higher your OC can be. Hopefully, using the links below, we can get some more 920s past 5Ghz.

I like to wait for official releases, because typically they do better OC wise.

Wow nice 1M! I only can get to about 9.1s on air. But Super Pi isn't the main thing in this thread, just CPU-Z, although if there's demand I can make a Super Pi one! That'd be cool. So would a Vantage CPU test one.. HMMM.

Thanks for the entry, if you make another, could you help me out by posting your info like this:

    Name ----------------- i7 920 D0 @ 4.440Ghz, Corsair Dominator 1866 @ 2200Mhz on air
    <CPUz screenshot/link>

Otherwise I don't know your full specs, such as RAM speed.

Anyways, I know we have more than just these few. Where's Nordic's 5.3Ghz on LN2?

That your max suicide run Melend? (CPU-z Validation) You don't need to run Linx to qualify for thise. And man that is an EPIC chip!! Sickly low voltage on 4.5Ghz! I think you could get a validation over 5Ghz.
