Time Zone Folding Challenge 2014 December 2nd, 2014 Winner of the 2014 TZFC: Eastern Runners Up Mountain Central Pacific 12/20/14 Pacific has crossed the 100 Million mark at the 1PM EST update, closing out the 2014 Time Zone Folding Challenge. Thank you to all who participated! 12/18/14 Mountain crossed the finish line at 2AM EST today, claiming 2nd place, only 8 hours before Central, who crossed at 10AM EST. Congratulations to all who participated and....oh wait, we aren't done yet? (Sees pacific in the distance, looking silly, running hard, but not moving very fast) 12/11/14 At 6PM EST, Eastern crossed the 100 million finish line! Keep the folding up to see who can secure 2nd! 12/2/14 Ladies and Gentlemen, we are in fact live! Stats are being collected as of the 12/1/14 12AM EST point! The site is still being worked out, but the work you are doing now is the real deal. Troy will get other functionality up as he can. Don't let your guard down, and don't back down! Fold on, friends! 12/1/14 Sign ups are officially closed. Late entrant acceptance is up to Troy8d. Now is the time to get it all up and folding if you haven't already! 11/18/14 Troy8d has the website up and running! You can find the registration form, contestant list, rules, donation forms and other info. Some pages are still in progress, but will be updated. Please try to get your entry in by November 29th so we can be ready for the contest start. Late entrants may not be accepted. 11/12/14 Good news folding fans! I am happy to announce the true 2014 Time Zone Challenge. I am also happy to announce this is back under the control and wisdom of troy8d, rather than my disorganized self. I am simply in the capacity of public relations. To start, this challenge is the classic style, as we last saw in 2012. It is not the same as you may have seen earlier this year. It only involves folding, and it is a race to specific point value, and not based on duration. There will be much more information to come and I will fill it in as it arrives. This thread will be updated regularly with information, and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Fantastic Sajinor, I can't wait. Maybe I can grab my 760's back to help out. This time, I think I will register for Central (meant Mountain) again, as next time I will live on the East Coast. :-D

If you would like to use an affiliate code to register a product, feel free use this one: >Click Here< This is not my affiliate code! This is a random users code. This code will change often, and you will never be told who it belongs to! If you would like the possibility of your code being listed above, it must be in your signature block. I will not take requests to use a specific code.

That one was planned but didn't run due to a variety of reasons, including last minute are we going to do this stuff. So we didn't do that stuff and now we are doing that stuff. Got it? Good.... now explain it to me I'm confused.

The one you linked, which was done earlier in the year, probably should not have been called "official". I put it together as a different contest, using the TZC layout. The one now is the proper and classic style, ran by troy8d rather than myself. I know that is adding to the confusion, but that is my fault for doing a different TZC and using the same name earlier in the year. I will make sure to name it something else for 2015. If you need further clarification, please let me know and I will try to explain better. I am sorry for the confusion.

So then this Official 2014 Folding Time Zone Challenge is ONLY for Team Folding@EVGA Folders and Not for Team Crunching@EVGA Crunchers? I see now http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2143564 Official 2014 Time Zone Challenge Thread (Folding + Crunching!) I will pass on this one due to poor support for NVIDIA Graphics Cards and Projects. I will only have to AMD Cards Folding for the Challenge, Maybe I will see if my 4P can still run BigAdv and my GTX 780 Rig. Team Folding@EVGA Have a Great Challenge.

That is correct. As the classic TZC, it is ONLY for folding, without crunching included.

And from the OP "and it is a race to specific point value, and not based on duration". So it really depends on how many total points is set as the final goal.

I'm glad to see that we are having a contest. This will be good for Team EVGA! BTW, I hope you change your mind Bcav. The timing may give people time to clean and ready their equipment for the challenge. That is after waking from your Thanksgiving feast.

Well, I may be out for this. I had hoped to have my new X99 system up and running. But now I'm down and out because my board wouldn't even power on. I'm ready to pay for my cross RMA, but it still won't ship until Monday. And it'll still take until Thursday or Friday to get to Kansas City from Brea Ca. by UPS ground.
