I upgraded because I wanted to. And that card is a true monster, there's literally nothing this card can't do at 1080p. There are many people who say it's a waste of money to upgrade from a 680 to the 780 Ti, let alone to play at 1080p with this card but whatever. I had to get more performance power for the upcoming games so I upgraded and so far I'm a bit over 2 months together with her. And I love that thingy, never regretted getting it although it's damn expensive.
My card idles at 25-27°C depending on the temperature outside and inside my room.
