Got my sli 780ti classifieds on my p67a-gd65[B3] 8gb ram and i5 2500k @4.4ghz and im running the installer this morning without gfe or precision installed and the process seemed to be going well until it kinda seemed to hang up after it did the uninstall of the current 337.50. The progress bar was still animated like it was still doing its thing but after about 15 minutes or so it still didnt seem to be changing. Just hung up on "installing drivers". I've NEVER experienced such a long install with beta or whql drivers. Anyone else had this issue?

Have you messed around with the UAC settings in Windows 8.1? (adjusted the slider or disabled)

Windows 8.1 will not allow a unsigned BETA driver install without you giving it permission to do so...
You state that you "never saw" such a prompt asking if you wanted to allow a unsigned driver install.

That would be completely incorrect, and is certainly why it hung when it did.

Ok well on the 337.61 im telling almost 20 minutes into it there was at no point a pop up of any sort. As far as the 337.50 I dont recall there being one but it was late when I installed the 337.50 so there may have been. Maybe that popup showed up after the 20 minutes I waited as I can see my screen saver through my security cameras but am unable to get it out ofnthe screen saver state as im not at home currently. As far as adjusting the uac slider to allow things to be installed without notifying me I have not done since my 8.1 fresh install.

Find the NVIDIA driver executable installer file, right click it, choose install as administrator and try again

Ok ran home on lunch and the installer was frozen had to ctrl alt delete and go into task manager to close it. Will do the administrator option.

Ok driver installed but now when I try to enable sli I get a blue screen and a reboot.

System thread exception not handled I believe was the error.
