Hello all.

As many already know, a few months back, I had released a full BIOS guide for the X79 Dark.  I am aware of the need for a guide for the Z87 platform as well.  I wanted to let this portion of the community know that I am working on a Z87 as I type.  I am using the FTW as a base and will have versions for the Stinger and Classy as well.

I will also be working on guides for an unreleased board as well.  As I cannot give any details of any unreleased products (name or spec), there may or may not be another product in the works (Schrodinger's board?  Yes it's existence is conditional), but I will be working on full documentation for this as well (provided it exists ).

I am aware of the need for improved documentation, and I am working on it heavily for ALL products moving forward.

More to follow.

Of course, there is always more time to procrastinate.  I think tomorrow I will get to procrastination......

In all seriousness, this BIOS is a bit larger and more in depth than the Dark board was, BIOS design is still based off of the Dark, but there is a lot more to it, but I am working hard on it now, I do not have a release date, but I am trying to get it done ASAP.

**Uses flyswatter to swat at the kids in the back seat**

Glad to know people are getting some use out of these.  As said from the X79, this is quite an undertaking.

Also, Intel keeps insisting on innovating and adding more and more stuff to the boards, and more and more cool features to the procs/mobos/BIOS's.....sheesh...... and they do this with no regard or consideration whatsoever to how it will effect ME!! LOL  The nerve of these people.

There are definitely a lot of BIOS functions that are on the Haswell platformed that were not on the SB-E/Ivy-E, working on it as fast as I can, but unfortunately, it is not my only duty.

Keep in mind, this is a BIOS guide, just like for the X79 Dark, this is **NOT** a overclocking tutorial, just wanting to explain the different functions within the BIOS.  I am clarifying because there was some confusion with this on the Dark guide.

Still working on it.  To be blunt, there is some really left field things in there that are quite difficult to get a solid understanding of, enough to write out descriptions that make sense can take some time.  There is a lot more of those type settings than there are in the Dark.
On the other hand the Z97, the engineers took great care to make sure the BIOS was a bit easier in those areas, less severely esoteric settings.

But, rest assured, I am still working on it.

So ya, I see that there is a BIOS guide for the Z97 Classified
    http://forums.evga.com/BIOS-guide-m2163517.aspx

...but nothing for the Z87 boards yet...

Are we to assume that the Z97 guide also applies to these boards?

The 97 guide is pretty close.

Im more worried about a bios update so the 4790K can be used on the FTW

Comon' guys, I think owners have been pretty patient and understanding as to the delay on this... but it's starting to get a little ridiculous. Owners are simply asking for the boards bios docs that TBH should have been there when I bought the board to begin with.

Can we make this a priority Dave?

    Thanks in advance!
