I've been dealing with a pesky issue with Media Center Extender to my Xbox 360 since swapping out my old router (Netgear WNR2000) to a new Netgear R6200 I'm unable to get Media extender to configure or connect.

I've followed every process of troubleshoot from xbox.com, Microsoft.com, Netgear.com and TechNet with nothing working.  I also added a Netgear 5 port Home Gaming Hub.

All settings for DLNA, UPnP etc.  I simply can not figure this out.  Only thing I can think is the hub but it has no config to it at all.  No login or anything.  Just plugNplay.

Disable WPS on the router, did you make sure those services are running and configured in the windows system services? Did you try hooking up each thing with a wired connection first and setting it up, then moving to wifi?! make sure nothing is defaulting to a public connection either.

That has all been tried and then some. I even deleted to root cert for media center, uninstalled/installed the extender. Stopped/restarted the service. Factory reset the router. Port forward, static IP etc. Still nothing.

Im sorry zero.... some network stuff is just easier for me to figure out when im sitting in front of it. I would probably drop the switch, pull all the phones and laptops etc... all off the line and just hook the pc, router and xbox up and work from there. The other stuff is easy after you get the xbox going you know?!!? Are you on win 8 or 8.1?!?!? also, you might be better off dropping the hub and using the old router as a hub instead when you start adding to the line later after all is working.

I thought of using the old router as the hub.  I had to replace it because the wifi was going out and wasn't sure if the whole thing was going to go out altogether.  I'm using Win 7 Ultimate x64.  I'll try on this one but I'm at a loss.  I've even gone as far as dropping the Homegroup and started from scratch minus a fresh install of the OS,  which is going to be my last resort if all the other troubleshooting doesn't work.

    Thank you for the help.
