Brand new 750TI 2Gb SC Black screen/freeze on wake

got my 750 Ti 2GB SC version delivered yesterday and now intermitently when i go to wake it from sleep it will show the login screen for a split second and then the screen goes black the monitor says no signal and goes to sleep
 
it responds to nothing, num lock light does not change, i have to reboot
 
driver issiue or bad card? im running latest (as of 2 days ago drivers)

    Could be a number of things, drivers, s1/s3 state mode in your bios, perhaps something else altogether. Did you have another video card in your system prior to installing this card?

    an EVGA gtx260 (core 216 55nm) running in SLI with a Zotac gtx275 flashed with a zotac gtx260 bios (slots 1 and 3)
     
    added a radeon X600 to test a 6 display setup (worked epicly) [also did not install radeon drivers just whatever windows auto installed]
     
    once i got the 750ti that got put in the primary slot and installed latest nvidia drivers clearing all settings
    put the x600 in second slot and the flashed gtx275 in the third slot to finish my tests, it all worked fine
     
    now its just the 750ti in the system and everything else works fine games fine

    updated to beta drivers and have not had another incident yet, however i noticed a drop in FPS in metro last light

    For Metro Last Light I was having low fps with 3 way Sli Evga Gtx 780 ti @ 2560x1600  Driver 337.50 some time 11 fps with 2 to 4 % GPU use the problem solved by installing  NVIDIA PhysX System Software Version: 9.13.1220
