my main thought its that my psu isnt powerful enough.

Looks like it's time to get a new PSU. Rebooting during medium to high loads indicates a inadequate PSU or a faulty PSU. What PSU are you using?

Well, kinda hard to tell being you didn't give us any details on your system. But rebooting under load could be an indication of a bad or inadequate power supply.

Yep, looks like your PSU only puts out 552W on the 12v. http://www.newegg.com/Pro...x?Item=N82E16817190028

What are the rest of your system specs?

Pick up a power supply with a single 12v Rail.  You can get a pretty decent 750w for under $90.

Your PSU has 2 25A 12v rails that need to power your CPU, GPU, HDD's, Case Fans and Expansion slots, ect (Stock 780 needs 21Amps).  There is a very good chance the load is not split appropriately.  With a single rail design, the load will always be split evenly.

CoolMax 1000W 80% bronze. Not a popular brand because its not a cool master but. I got mine for $99. With a proper surge protection and that. Makes for smooth power feed.I would be lost without it.
