Using EVGA Precision X v4.2.1.2143 and RTSS v6.1.0..For me at least, enabling K-Boost seems to break NVIDIA v337.50 BETA driver resulting in a BSOD Stop 0x7F nvlddmkm.sys upon a restart or a cold start, each and every time.

Even after completely uninstalling Precision X in Safe Mode, driver 337.50 seems to remain broken by K-Boost..Only way I can get into Windows and fix it is to go into Safe Mode and uninstall it or ovverwrite it and revert back to driver 335.23 (or earlier) and then all is perfect..Never had any driver issues with K-Boost until installing 337.50 BETA.

Doesn't matter if I install the complete 337.50 driver package or only the driver and PhysX..Clean install of the driver and Precision X doesn't matter either..Everything else works fine, it's only when K-Boost is enabled with 337.50 does this issue occur.

I don't know if anybody else is having (or will have) this issue, but thought I would mention it..I think I've been down every possible avenue to fix it and nothing works short of going back to 335.23 (or earlier), or simply not using K-Boost with 337.50..Without using K-Boost with 337.50 it works perfectly fine and I do see an improvement in games..Open to suggestions, but I really think K-Boost just breaks the driver somehow.

Posting this in both the EVGA Software Forum and the EVGA GeForce 700/TITAN Series Forum -> "New 337.50 BETA Driver Released. Updated with Links" thread.

I only see that error "BSOD Stop 0x7F nvlddmkm.sys upon a restart or a cold start, each and every time." on Bad GPUGRID Projects. I Delete the Project get a new one and all is fine. I do not use K-BOOT, what Program are you running that your are getting this BSOD BSOD Stop 0x7F nvlddmkm.sys?

It sounds like since this latest version of PrecX is so old, that the new driver finally "out ran" it so to speak and would need to be updated to work...??  Without another program using some type of K-boost feature, it would be tough to really rule that out.

I tried out k-boost when it was first introduced, but didn't care for it.

what Program are you running that your are getting this BSOD BSOD Stop 0x7F nvlddmkm.sys?

All what's running in the System Tray is: Real Temp..Logitech Gaming Software (for my kb, mouse and headset)..Precision X and RTSS..MSSE (which I have disabled)..Tray icon for NVIDIA Control Panel..I'm using no other programs when the BSOD happens..It occurs very early in startup, even before getting to the Desktop.

I never use K-Boost either, but was testing all the Precision X features to make sure everything works as it should with the new driver package..Strange that it only happens with the 337.50 BETA and only when K-Boost is, or has been enabled and only if I cold boot or restart..Previous drivers are perfectly fine when cold booting or restarting with K-Boost enabled.

    Step one:

    Reinstall 337.50 in Custom mode
    Only Graphics driver and PhysX
    Perform a clean install checked
Reboot after install (do not skip reboot)
Leave NVCP at defaults and no tray icon
    TEST
    --------------------------

If problem still present Step two:

    Completely uninstall Precision
*make sure that you answer -NO- to saving data
REBOOT (do NOT skip this reboot)

    Now put Precision back in
make SURE to------> uncheck the RTSS add-on
    TEST
    ----------------------------

If problem still present, step three:

    Set Windows update to manual
    Disconnect headphones
MSCONFIG/Startup Tab-> disable (uncheck) RealTemp and ALL Logitech junk software
*keep an eye out while in the startup tab for items you didnt know about that might interact with the Nvidia driver and uncheck them as well.
    Restart when prompted
    TEST

If you want, post a SS of your MSCONFIG startup tab
    I'll look it over

HH's testing report would appear to show a concrete driver bug with the current (outdated) version of Precision 4.2.1

If Kboost is important to you, you will probably have to wait to use newer Nvidia sets until such time as Precision is updated.

Thanks bro, but already tried what you suggested about 4 times = No joy..Even tried uninstalling with DDU.

I guess for me, K-Boost just isn't going to get along with this driver, or vice versa, for whatever reason..I don't use it anyway, was just testing to make sure all the Precision X features were fully functional with this new driver package..I'll just end up using the 337.50 because of the noticeable improvements and be resigned to the fact that K-Boost just won't work with it for me and wait for a newer driver or version of Precision X and see what happens then..Not much to see in MSCONFIG -> Startup, I had/have it down to bare bones but here it is.

I notice you have RealTemp disabled in MSCONFIG. I rely on RealTemp to shut my PC down if temps get too high. Have you tried using Task Scheduler to launch RealTemp instead of MSCONFIG? It's a lot easier and you don't have to click that Administrator rights box when it starts.

Was only temporarily disabled during troubleshooting..I just put it in the Startup folder for all users and turned off the damned UAC because it liked to pester me too much about stuff all the time ..I never tried running it in Task Scheduler though.

I put it in the Startup folder at first too. That popup box was truly annoying. Open Task Scheduler and click 'Create a Task' in the right margin. Under the General tab place a checkmark in the box "Run with highest priveleges" to bypass the UAC. Triggers tab = 'At logon of any user'. Action tab = 'Start a Program' and browse to RealTemp.exe. I'm pretty sure I left everything else at default.

Did you try once the new 337.61 Beta driver? Seems to be a hotfix driver (http://nvidia.custhelp.co...tail/a_id/3491/kw/3491 ) and for my part, with this one i don't have any bluescreens or other problems with K-Boost. Could give it a try ;-)
